In trouble, Netflix cancels a project with Meghan and Harry

Netflix has just cancelled an animated series that had been ordered from Archewell Productions, the company founded by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

This announcement comes just days after the streaming TV service was battered on the stock market following the release of disastrous results.

On April 19, Netflix announced it had lost 203,000 subscribers in the first quarter of the year, and its stock plunged 35%. This decline caused the company’s market capitalization to melt from about US$54 billion to just over $100 billion (US).

The series that Archewell Productions was to makewas supposed to revolve around a 12-year-old girl “on a journey of self-discovery” inspired by the legacy of famous women in history, Deadlinereveals.

Several other Netflix animated series projects have also been scrapped, due to the streaming giant’s financial woes, according to the magazine.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a long-term deal with Netflix shortly after moving to the United States from England. The deal would bring in 150 million (U.S. ) to the couple, who are set to deliver various television projects to Netflix.

Donald Trump makes his debut on Truth Social

Donald Trump is back on social media for the first time in over a year. The former U.S. president made his first post on his own network called Truth Social.

It was with a short message that the 45th president returned to the public square: “I’m back!”.

Donald Trump put himself on stage for this first publication in front of his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

Truth Social was launched last February. Greatly inspired by Twitter, the network is the counter-attack of Donald Trump to Twitter which had expelled him from its community following the riots on Capitol Hill in Washington.

Even though Twitter has just changed hands and the new owner Elon Musk wants to support free speech on the platform, Donald Trump does not intend to return if he was invited.

“I’m not going to go on Twitter, I’m going to stay on Truth,” Donald Trump told Fox News. “I hope Elon buys out Twitter because he’ll make improvements and he’s a good man, but I’m going to stay on Truth,” he added.

Donald Trump added: “It’s a platform for my voice. Truth is a platform for my voice and for my supporters.”

Truth Socialdescribes itself as “a social platform that encourages a global, open, free and honest conversation, without discrimination against political ideologies.”
