The creator of ‘Squid Game’ has another more macabre project

Hwang Dong-hyuk, the writer and director of the TV series Squid Game is working on a new project that he himself considers more sinister than his huge hit on Netflix last fall.

Already, many people were shocked by Squid Game, a series in which 456 people with money problems participated in children’s games in the hope of winning a big prize. However, the losers of each game were executed on the spot.

The South Korean’s new project is tentatively titled Killing Old People Club based on a novel written by Umberto Eco, according to Variety.

The filmmaker lifted the veil on his project yesterday at MIPTV at the international television market in France.

“It will be more violent than Squid Game.” The new film would be based on the murder of old people. The author has reportedly already developed more than 25 pages for the film, which he says will be “another controversial movie.”

Fans of Squid Gamewere also pleased to learn at MIPTV that Hwang Dong-hyuk plans to give his fans Squid Game 2 in late 2024.

Rihanna ‘s talent was recognized on November 30 whenshe was named a “national hero” by her country. The 34-year-old star is currently expecting her first child with her partnerA$AP Rocky.

The rapper Kanye West has a fortune of 2 billion according to the magazine. The main interested party disputes this evaluation, claiming that his fortune is rather 7 billion.

West’s fortune comes mainly from two commercial agreements of his clothing and footwear brand Yeezy signed with the giants Adidas and Gap. According to the magazine, the rapper ranks as the world’s 1,513th richest person.

As for Jay-Z, long known as one of hip-hop‘s richest stars, he has a portfolio of $1.4 billion that ranks him 2,076th on the billionaires list. In fact, the rapper topped all other rappers in terms of revenue generated in the last 12 months.

Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk clash over space

Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, the two richest men on the planet, will soon be battling it out in space.

Jeff Bezos, the boss of Amazon, does not intend to leave all the space to Elon Musk, the boss of SpaceX, in the implementation of Internet by satellite. The billionaire partnered yesterday with three companies to make up to 83 rocket launches over a period of five years.

Amazon hopes to catch up with SpaceX and its Starlink program, which already provides Internet by satellite. It is this service that is being used by the Ukrainians in its fight against Russia and that allows it to facilitate its communications, even though the country has been under siege since February 24.

Called Project Kuiper, Amazon’s new service is also supposed to provide fast, low-cost Internet access to underserved communities around the world, like Starlink.

Of the 83 planned launches , United Launch Alliance, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin and Boeing, will conduct 38, Europe’s Arianespace will conduct 18, and Jeff Bezos’ private space company, Blue Origin, will conduct at least 12, with an option for 15 additional launches as needed.

Eventually, the 83 rocket launches of the Kuiper project will deploy a constellation of 3,236 satellites in orbit around the Earth.

But SpaceX has a significant head start in the race for affordable broadband Internet. Starlink has more than 250,000 subscribers worldwide and has launched more than 1,900 satellites, according to statements by company executives and public documents.

That’s not the only business area where Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are battling it out in space. Both men are committed to developing space tourism. Blue Origin sent its first tourists into space last July, and has since been selling tickets for other flights.

SpaceX for its part is already sending astronauts on behalf of NASA to the International Space Station (ISS) since 2020. In 2021, it also sent tourists into space, but much further than its competitors. The company now plans to send humans to the planet Mars in the next few years.

A cruise ship to the rescue of Ukrainian refugees

After hotels and vacation home owners opening their doors, now a large cruise ship is welcoming its first Ukrainian refugees.

Since February 24, millions of Ukrainians have been fleeing their country invaded by Russia. The tourism industry quickly stepped in to help accommodate these unfortunate people who have often left everything behind.

At the beginning of March, the Airbnb platform opened the ball by making available tens of thousands of residences in Europe.

Now, a few hours ago, Holland America Line‘s Volendam, a 237-meter-long cruise ship docked in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, has been recruited to offer temporary shelter to nearly 1,500 Ukrainians.

The initiative is the initiative of the Dutch government, which has pledged to house up to 50,000 displaced Ukrainians.

The Volendam had not yet returned to service after the Covid-19 pandemic and was therefore fully available to assist the refugees.

With Rotterdam experiencing a housing shortage, the cruise ship solution makes the reception operations easier for the city.

“That’s why we decided to house a number of these refugees on this ship for the next few months,” a Rotterdam spokesperson told CNN.

The Ukrainians staying on board the Volendam will receive three hot meals a day, and will also be able to use the ship’s various facilities, including housekeeping and Wi-Fi. Those on board can disembark whenever they wish, including to go to school.

The Volendam ‘s upcoming cruises have been cancelled. The ship is expected to resume regular service in July.

‘The Crown’ is looking for its Kate Middleton

The producers of The Crown are looking for an actress to play the role of Kate Middleton for the sixth season to be presented on Netflix.

The Crown, which is based on the life of the British royal family, was looking last month for actors to play the roles of Prince William and Prince Harry.

Now it’s time to find Prince William’s wife. The producers are hoping to find an actress who can play the Duchess of Cambridge ‘s budding romance with William when they were students at St Andrews University.

The next season, the fifth, which is currently filming, will focus on events in the royal family in the late 90s and early 90s. The Crown will devote several minutes to the last love story of Princess Diana before her death.

For Season 6, producers are looking for actors who strongly resemble members of the royal family and say no prior experience is required.

“We have a history of providing significant support to young actors and their families throughout what they consider to be a particularly rewarding creative process,” the production release reads.

According to this information, The Crown season 6 will begin around 1998, just one year after the death of Princess Diana , and will last at least until 2005. This period will probably cover William’ s studies at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he met Kate, as well as the marriage of Prince Charles to Camilla Parker-Bowles and the aftermath of the death of Princess Diana.
