Beyonce’s weight struggle

Beyonce ”struggles” with her weight.

The 33-year-old singer – who has three-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay Z – is delighted with the 22-Day Diet Revolution, a vegan plan devised by Marco Borges, because she has finally found lasting results.

Speaking in a video-taped segment on ‘Good Morning America’, she said: ”I am not naturally the thinnest woman. I have curves, I’m proud of my curves. I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works, that actually keeps the weight off has been difficult for me.”

And as well as losing weight, the ‘Feeling Myself’ singer found other benefits with the plant-based meal plan.

She said: ”I felt like my skin was really firm, a lot tighter than when I deprived myself of food and got the weight off fast. The weight stayed off.”

Prior to her appearance on the show, a teaser had appeared in which Beyonce said: ”This is something I have to share with everyone.”

The short clip sparked speculation she would be announcing a new album or even another pregnancy, but instead she went on the program to promote 22 Days Nutrition, her and Marco’s meal delivery service, which was first announced in February.

Brad Pitt and Angelina’s beach home in danger

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s multi-million dollar beach ranch is at risk as an uncontrollable oil spillage causes a state of emergency in California.

The Hollywood couple – who own the $5 million property boasting 11-acres of land – find their home at risk from the 21,000 gallon oil spill, which is just 1.5 miles along the Californian coastline, at El Capitan State Beach.

The Californian Governor, Jerry Brown called a state of emergency yesterday (20.05.15) and announced they would ”quickly mobilise all available resources”.

He told DailyMail.com: ”We will do everything necessary to protect California’s coastline.”

Brad, 51 – who has children Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Knox, Vivienne and Shiloh with Angelina – is said to use the beach house, which he purchased for $4 million in 2000, mainly for vacations.

America’s The National Weather Service has reported westerly winds will force the oil to spread rapidly, increasing the chances of causing damage to their beach facing house.

A representative for Santa Barbara authorities said: ”I am deeply saddened by the images coming from the scene at Refugio. This incident is yet another stark reminder of the serious risks to our environment and economy that come from drilling for oil.”

However, this is not the only time the film stars have been in the headlines for environmental issues.

The ‘World War Z’ actor was previously blasted by furious locals when he took his children onto the beach on quad bikes.

One angry resident said: ”I am not sure if it is illegal to drive on the beach in Santa Barbara County but it is certainly reprehensible.”

Pamela Anderson strips off for PETA

Pamela Anderson has stripped off for PETA.

The 47-year-old actress appears naked in their latest campaign – inspired by the 1960 horror film ‘Psycho’ – to draw attention to the amount of water wasted in the production of meat.

The images show the blonde beauty cowering in the shower, recreating the iconic moment Anthony Perkins’ character Norman Bates stabs Janet Leigh’s Marion Crane in the Alfred Hitchcock-directed picture.

The advert which features the tagline, ”Make a splash for the environment – try vegan”, aims to encourage people to banish meat from their diet as the industry is the number one cause of water depletion across the globe.

Long-time vegan Pamela explained: ”Rivers are siphoned off, not just for the animals but also for crops grown to feed animals on factory farms.

”Producing one pound of beef uses as much water as about six months of showers.”

The spoof images were shot by renowned photographer David LaChapelle.

The former ‘Baywatch’ star could also be set to star in fashion campaigns after she was signed to prestigious modelling agency Next Model Management earlier this year.

Although she is widely thought of as one of the sexiest women of all time, Pamela confessed she thinks the idea of being cast on her looks alone is laughable.

She explained: ”I’ve just signed with Next Modelling agency for commercials and appearances. That is funny. I’ve never felt pretty enough to be a model. I think I’ve provoked feelings with how I look. But not as a beauty but as a mischievous little rascal!”

Robert Pattinson doesn’t need prenup from Twigs

Robert Pattinson won’t ask FKA Twigs to sign a pre-nuptial agreement because it’s not romantic.

The 29-year-old actor, who is estimated to be worth $60 million, doesn’t think it’s necessary to protect his fortune in case they were to divorce in the future and he doesn’t want to tie the knot with thoughts it won’t last the distance.

A source close to the ‘Twilight’ star – who proposed to the ‘Two Weeks’ hitmaker with a $100,000 dollar engagement ring earlier this year after six months of dating – told America’s Star magazine: ”Rob’s quite a traditionalist and is madly in love with her, so he doesn’t think it’s necessary. He’s following his heart on this, rather than his head.”

The pair intend to be married by September and Twigs – real name Tahliah Barnett – still has her heart set on a low-key and quirky wedding this summer.

A different source told Life & Style magazine: ”She wants a hippie-style ceremony at a friend’s house in the English countryside.

”He’ll do whatever she wants. He just wants to make her his wife.”

The singer has told Rob she’d prefer to say her vows at a registry office and then hold the reception in a pub surrounded by their family and closest friends.

BB King dies aged 89

BB King has died aged 89.

The guitarist and singer, who was known as ‘The King of Blues’ by his fans, passed away in his sleep in Las Vegas on Thursday (05.14.15), his lawyer has confirmed.

The musician was known for his hits including ‘Lucille’, ‘Sweet Black Angel’ and ‘Rock Me Baby’, and was once ranked as the third greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.

However, the icon – whose real name was Riley B. King – had become ill in recent years as a result of a diabetes-related illness and announced he had entered a Las Vegas hospice earlier this month.

The final message on his website read: ”I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas. Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers.”

Beginning his career in the 1940s, the former farmhand inspired musicians around the world with his fusion of blues and jazz music, and shot to fame once again in 1988 when he collaborated with U2 on ‘When Love Comes To Town’.

The music veteran – who regularly performed at least 100 concerts a year until recently – won 15 Grammy awards during his life, with his most recent being in 2009 for his 42nd and final album, ‘One Kind Favor’.

BB King was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1980, and into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.

Other notable pieces of work include his 2000 collaborative album with Eric Clapton, ‘Riding With the King’ which achieved major success for the pair.

Jamie Dornan’s nudity bonus

Jamie Dornan has been offered $1.5 million to go full-frontal in ‘Fifty Shades Darker’.

The 33-year-old actor – who will reprise his role as kinky businessman Christian Grey in the next movie in the ‘Fifty Shades’ franchise – has been asked to briefly bare all in the film and will be rewarded financially if he agrees.

A source told Britain’s Star magazine: ”They’re offering Jamie a bonus of $1.5 million to do a full-frontal scene in Fifty Shades Darker.

”They have assured Jamie that it won’t be overt but more of a brief tease – and he’ll have some creative control over how it’s handled.”

And producers will reportedly up their offer if Jamie refuses.

This isn’t the first time the hunky actor and his co-star Dakota Johnson’s worth has been discussed.

After the first movie, which made more than $569 million at the box office, the pair asked for a raise after receiving salaries of just $250,000.

A source said recently: ”It was a very basic franchise starter deal… Look at ‘Twilight’ and ‘Hunger Games’, and that’s where it’s heading.”

‘Fifty Shades Darker’ is planned for release in 2017.

Eva Mendes won’t be celebrating her first Mother’s Day

Eva Mendes doesn’t feel like she has earned her ”Mother’s Day stripes”.

The 41-year-old actress – who has seven-month-old Esmeralda with partner Ryan Gosling – has no plans to celebrate the special day this weekend because she doesn’t think she’s been a parent long enough to deserve to have a fuss made of her.

She said: ”There is no plan.

”I kind of feel like I haven’t quite earned my stripes yet in a way. She’s seven months [old].”

Instead, the ‘Hitch’ actress – whose brother Carlos Mendez is believed to be battling cancer – plans to visit her own mother and ”bombard her with love”.

She added to ‘Access Hollywood Live’: ”This Mother’s Day is definitely all about my mom.

”She’s had a really hard year. My brother’s sick, so it’s all about my mom, honoring her. We’re all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love.”

Eva also discussed about how her own mother used to dress her and her sisters identically, even though she was the youngest by several years.

She said: ”I love that whole concept, it’s so sweet to me, my mom used to dress me like my sisters and there’s a huge age gap, they were eight, nine years older than me. So she had my older sisters dressing like a five year old.”

Sofia Vergara speaks out on embryo row

Sofia Vergara doesn’t think a judge will give Nick Loeb custody of their embryos.

The former couple are currently embroiled in a legal battle over the fate of two embryos they created in 2013 and while the businessman insists an agreement they drew up at the time should be ruled invalid under Californian law – which requires a specification as to what should happen if a couple separates – the ‘Hot Pursuit’ star doesn’t think a court will agree with his stance.

She said: ”There is a contract that he can’t do anything.

”We wrote what we wanted at the time. It’s not like a contract [where] they give [it to] you right there the moment they’re gonna take the eggs out — no, they give you this in advance. You see it, you review it, and not only that, we did it two times. … Two times and suddenly you want to change your mind?

”What judge is going to say OK? Even if it’s life or not life, it’s not what he signed at the moment. You know, you should have thought about all of that.”

And even if Nick is able to use a surrogate to have children with the embryos, 42-year-old Sofia – who has 22-year-old son Manolo from a previous relationship and is now engaged to Joe Manganiello – doesn’t think the situation makes for a good environment for the kids.

Speaking to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show, she added: ”More than a mother, [a child] needs a loving relationship of parents that you know, get along, that don’t hate each other.

”I don’t hate him but obviously he has a problem with me. … I wouldn’t imagine anyone saying to bring to the world kids that already have everything set up wrong for them. It’d be so selfish.”

Nick, 39, previously revealed he has offered to ”pay all expenses” to have a surrogate carry the embryos, but his former fiancee has refused.

He said: ”I asked her to let me have the embryos, offering to pay for all expenses to carry our girls to term and raise them. If she did not wish to share custody, I would take on full parenting responsibilities and agree to have her declared an egg donor.

”She has refused…

”I take the responsibility and obligation of being a parent very seriously. This is not just about saving lives; it is also about being pro-parent.”

Hilary Duff had cool date

Hilary Duff’s Tinder date was ”cool”.

The ‘All About You’ hitmaker – who recently filed for divorce from Mike Comrie following their split early last year – had her first face-to-face meeting with a guy she got in contact with via the dating app earlier this week and they had a fun time.

She said: ”We went bowling so we didn’t have to talk too much, but we did talk a lot actually.

”He was cool. He brought a friend and I had some friends there. He used to be in editing for reality shows. Now, he’s an actor and he just wrote a play. He’s an interesting guy.”

However, Hilary – who previously said she joined the app to meet a ”normal” guy – is unsure whether they will take their relationship further.

Speaking to KIIS-FM DJ Ryan Seacrest, she admitted: ”To be honest, I don’t really want [to date] an actor. [But] I think he has a few jobs.

”I don’t know how I’m feeling, we’ll see how it goes.”

The 26-year-old star – who has three-year-old son Luca with Mike – insisted she never shared a kiss with her date.

She exclaimed: ”No! Absolutely not.”

The ‘Younger’ star is now looking forward to more Tinder dates.

She said: ”I’m just a Tinder animal. I had my Tinder training wheels on for my first date. Now it’s smooth sailing.”

Simon Cowell launches Ultimate DJ talent show

Simon Cowell is launching a talent show for DJs.

The music mogul has announced a new show in collaboration with Yahoo titled ‘The Ultimate DJ’ in a bid to cash in on the success of electronic music stars such as Calvin Harris and Zedd in recent years.

He wrote on Twitter: ”We made an announcement today for a show with Yahoo. The Ultimate DJ. We have partnered with Ultra.

”The show is intended to showcase the incredible talent that electronic music has shown the world. It will be made with respect.”

He added: ”And am happy to confirm our new TV partners Done and Dusted and the brilliant Hamish Hamilton who will direct Ultimate DJ. (sic)”

‘The Ultimate DJ’ – which was created by Simon’s production banner Syco Entertainment – will follow a similar format to ‘The X Factor’, with DJs competing against one another to win a Sony Music recording contract and a headline spot at a major music festival.

The 55-year-old star – who is the show’s executive producer – made the announcement at Yahoo’s NewFront presentation at Manhattan’s Lincoln Center yesterday (04.27.15).

Speaking about his excitement at launching the new contest, he said: ”Electronic music in one of the most important genres around the world and we want to respect what’s happening around the world.”
