Michelle Keegan named world’s sexiest woman

Michelle Keegan has been voted Sexiest Woman in the World.

The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress has topped FHM magazine’s annual poll, beating ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ star Kendall Jenner and last year’s winner Jennifer Lawrence into second and third place respectively.

Kate Upton climbed 14 places to take fourth spot, while new UK ‘X Factor’ host Caroline Flack has soared up the chart from 48th in 2012 and 70th in 2013 to take fifth place.

Singer Ariana Grande came seventh in the poll, which saw over a million votes cast, and ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ star Margot Robbie was seventh.

Rounding out the top 10 were ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star Lucy Mecklenburgh, who reclaimed the eighth spot, ‘Game of Thrones’ actress Emilia Clarke in ninth and Kelly Brook, whose 10th place marked her 18th appearance on the poll, including first place in 2005.

FHM editor Joe Barnes said: ”Many congratulations to Michelle on her very worthy win. This year’s 100 Sexiest poll was more keenly contested than ever – we had over a million votes, which was truly incredible. And for me, and the FHM team, it’s great to see a hugely talented UK actress take the top spot.”

New entries this year included Emilia’s co-stars Natalie Dormer and Nathalie Emmanuel in 16th and 75th place, while Kendall’s step-sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian made their first appearances on the list.

However, their 50th and 62nd placings were no match for sister Kim Kardashian West, who took 13th spot.

Rihanna plummeted down the poll this year, dropping from third to 23, while Beyonce and Katy Perry also experienced huge drops. The ‘Crazy in Love’ singer slipped from seventh to 19th, while the ‘Dark Horse’ hitmaker’s ranking went down 13 places to 25.

Among the more unusual appearances was 80-year-old TV baker Mary Berry, who came in 73rd place, one behind Angelina Jolie.

Nicole Kidman to return to West End after 17 years

Nicole Kidman is to return to the West End for the first time in 17 years to honor the memory of her late father.

The ‘Paddington’ actress will star in a play about scientists discovering the ”secret of life” in honor of Dr. Anthony Kidman, who died suddenly in September last year.

Before his tragic death, Nicole had asked her father if she should star in the play. Recalling their conversation, she said: ”My dad was a biochemist and he knew all about Rosalind Franklin.

”When I told him I was thinking about doing it, he was very excited. Then my dad passed away last September. I went, ‘Alright, I need to do this for my father.”’

The 47-year-old actress is to portray pioneering DNA researcher Rosalind Franklin in ‘Photograph 51’, which will run for 11 weeks from September 2015.

And Nicole is also keen to star in that particular play because it was written by a woman, American playwright Anna Ziegler.

She told the Daily Mail newspaper: ”It’s written by a woman, and it’s about a woman that a lot of women don’t know about.

”And I need to do it because I’ve got to get back on stage, into that uncomfortable place of going, ‘I’m terrified!”’

Nicole last made her appearance on the West End stage in 1998 when she starred in ‘The Blue Room’.

Russell Crowe admits to past mistakes

Russell Crowe admits he has made a lot of mistakes in the past.

The 51-year-old actor – who split from wife Danielle Spencer in 2012 – doesn’t think it’s possible ”to live without regrets,” but feels lucky he has a close bond with their sons, Charles and Tennyson.

He said: ”I don’t see how it’s possible to live without regrets. But you can chase all that stuff down, or you can just get on with it.

”These last four years have been kind of ridiculous: the separation and a whole bunch of other complications. However, it’s also been a period where I’ve spent some of the greatest times with my kids, times we’ll remember forever. That’s what you do, right? It’s life.”

But the Australian star believes he has learned.

He told People magazine: ”I don’t see how you’re educating yourself if you don’t recognise moments where you weren’t necessarily at your best. There are thousands of fundamentally embarrassing moments that I wish I could turn around. If you’re lucky, you can pull yourself up: ‘Oh, I know this one – I don’t have to do that again.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Gladiator’ star insists he no longer needs to play the lead character in his films.

He said: ”I still play lead roles like ‘Noah,’ but I get just as much playing a second lead like Javert in ‘Les Miserables’. If you love playing characters, all that happens is they change. I have a simple love for doing the job.”

Russell also isn’t worried about getting older.

He said: ”I never put [much thought] into my age at all until I turned 48. It sounded lumpy it’s a heavy journey because I can’t outrun it anymore. Over time on film sets, I’ve gotten tears in both Achilles, shin splints, bone-marrow edemas under both knees, a rib that pops off my upper thoracic and a degenerating hip. But those are scars that I’ve earned.”

Chris Martin’s ‘parting gifts’ for Gwyneth

Chris Martin has given Gwyneth Paltrow some intimate ”parting gifts”, including handwritten song lyrics inspired by her.

The former couple – who have children Apple, 10, and Moses, nine, together – filed for divorce this week, over a year after they separated, but are doing everything they can to stay friends and keep their relationship amicable.

A source told the new issue of Grazia magazine: ”They will share joint custody as a children and agreed they will always spend Christmas, birthdays and significant holidays as a family.

”Chris has even given Gwyneth parting gifts, including handwritten lyrics of Coldplay songs that are about her.

”He knows they will be worth a lot of money in the future and he wants her and the children to have them.”

Things are so amicable between the ‘Iron Man 3’ star and the Coldplay frontman – who are now dating Brad Falchuk and Jennifer Lawrence respectively – they are even planning a divorce party for when the legal process is complete.

The source added: ”Gwyneth and Chris have been regularly speaking on the phone to ensure it all goes through with ease.

”They’ve even joked about having a divorce celebration with friends and family once it’s complete.”

It was previously claimed Gwyneth, 42, and Chris, 38, will divide their £200 million fortune equally, and they are even planning to waive any child support arrangement.

A source said: ”They’re worth pretty much the same amount so are planning to halve everything. They have too much dignity to row about who has what, who should have the most money and who should see most of the kids.”

It is believed that Gwyneth will remain in the family home in Brentwood, Los Angeles whilst Chris will move to Malibu so the pair are not too far apart.

Michelle Williams keeps things ‘real’ for daughter

Michelle Williams keeps life ”as normal as possible” for her daughter.

The ‘My Week with Marilyn’ actress has nine-year-old Matilda with late actor Heath Ledger – who died of an accidental overdose seven years ago – and the ‘Dark Knight’ star’s sister Kate Ledger is impressed with how she is raising the little girl.

She said: ”[Matilda is an] expressive, creative, beautiful girl who is fortunate enough to have great grounding from her mum.

”Michelle really does keep things real for her, and her existence, although different from most, is as normal as possible in an abnormal world.”

Meanwhile, Kate loves to bond with Matilda by telling her stories of the ‘Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ star’s upbringing in Perth, Western Australia.

She told Australia’s Daily Telegraph newspaper: ”I love telling [Matilda] stories about her daddy and how he grew up.

”I think it’s so important for her to have a good sense of where she comes from in order for her to get to know herself.”

Despite her brother’s success, Kate says he initially struggled making the transition from his home town to Hollywood.

She recalled: ”He spent a lot of time on peoples’ couches, eating packet noodles with little money.

”He knew no one, had nothing and had to fight to survive. Of course, like most actors, maintaining integrity in the roles you accept or choose is also a struggle.

”For Heath it was of paramount importance.”

Morgan Spurlock predicts Harry Styles’ departure

One Direction’s filmmaker thinks Harry Styles will be next to leave the group.

Morgan Spurlock – who directed the band’s ‘One Direction: This Is Us’ documentary – believes the quartet will stay together ”for a little while” but has tipped the curly-haired hunk to be the next to follow in Zayn Malik’s footsteps and walk away.

Asked if he thinks they can survive as a group without Zayn, Morgan said: ”Obviously they already have [survived]. I think they’ll stay together for a little while, for a little bit longer and then at some point Harry will leave he’ll be next, and then I think Niall [Horan] and Louis [Tomlinson] and Liam [Payne], I think the three of those guys will become the new Bell Biv DeVoe [a 1990s group formed of the three remaining members of New Edition].”

And Morgan believes Zayn – who quit the group saying he wanted to lead a ”normal” life but is expected to launch a solo career – was the right person to leave first as he thinks he’s the ”most talented” member.

He added to TMZ: ”I think all those guys together were fantastic, they had something special but you can’t fault Zayn for wanting to leave, people have to make their own decisions in life.

”I think Zayn is probably the most talented guy in the group, he’s an incredible singer, all of them are talented singers but to make the decision to want to leave and go off on your own and chase a solo career in the midst of being as successful and as famous as you are, you can’t fault someone for that.”

Ryan Gosling ‘thinks like a girl’

Ryan Gosling thinks ”like a girl”.

The 34-year-old Hollywood hunk was raised by his mother Donna and his older sister Mandi after his parents divorced when he was 13, and he says that experience has helped him to empathize with women.

Ryan – whose long-term girlfriend Eva Mendes gave birth to a baby girl, Esmeralda Amada, in September 2014 – said: ”I have strong female characters in my life. And I was raised by my mother and my sister, so I feel like I think like a girl sometimes.”

Ryan said his ability to relate to woman has been beneficial because ”girls are better”.

Asked if thinking like a girl has helped, Ryan told ShortList magazine: ”Yeah, it’s way better than thinking like a guy. Guys are better than us, that’s no secret.”

Meanwhile, Eva recently said not wearing sweatpants is key to the success of the Hollywood duo’s long-lasting relationship.

She shared: ”You can’t do sweatpants… ladies, number one cause of divorce in America, sweatpants, no!”

The 41-year-old actress also revealed she’s developed a new appreciation for motherhood since giving birth.

She said: ”You never know, right, something random can happen and she’s just suddenly not sleeping through the night and you’re like, wait, I thought we were sleeping through the night, what’s up? Why does it always happen at three or four in the morning?

”Now I understand so much, my mother’s never gotten more, ‘I love you so much mommy’ texts, I mean, randomly … I get it now.”

Kate Winslet reveals embarrassing wardrobe malfunction

Kate Winslet nearly flashed guests at a recent 60th birthday party.

The 39-year-old actress wore a tight-fitting dress to the bash, but nearly suffered a huge embarrassment after going to the toilet when the full-length zip snapped.

Kate – who is married to businessman Ned Rocknroll – explained: ”I was at a 60th birthday party, feeling great, wearing a dress that could be unzipped from the bottom or the top.

”So my husband, Ned, puts me into the dress at home no problem, but when everyone started to move into be seated for dinner I needed a wee, so I said to Ned, ‘Go on I’ll see you in there’.

”I unzipped it from the bottom, sat down, had a wee – no problem – stood up, zipped it back up, and the zip came off in my hand.

”I was stood there, knowing everyone is pretty far away and I can’t f***ing move. The dress opens all the way – the whole f***ing thing! I’m standing there in my knickers and heels, basically wearing a black cape!”

The ‘Titantic’ star – who has children Mia, 14, and Joe, 11, from previous marriages, and son Bear, 16 months, with Ned – said the unfortunate incident has convinced her to avoid wearing zip-up dresses to any future red carpet events.

She told Vogue.co.uk: ”All I could do was stand there, look at myself in the mirror and crack up laughing.

”I am never getting on the red carpet in a dress with a zip.”

Alessandra Ambrosio hospitalized

Alessandra Ambrosio is recovering in hospital following a ”medical procedure”.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel – who has son Noah, three, and daughter Anja, seven with fiance Jamie Mazur – underwent treatment yesterday (04.14.15) after suffering ”constant headaches” and is currently being monitored at UCLA Hospital in Westwood, Los Angeles.

A friend said: ”I have spoken to her team, her manager and everyone that went with her for her medical procedure and they say she is fine.”

The pal went on to explain that the 34-year-old beauty – who spent the weekend partying at the Coachella festival with friends – had booked the appointment two weeks ago.

A spokesperson for Alessandra confirmed she is currently in hospital and in ”good health”, but wouldn’t comment further on her condition.

They told MailOnline: ”Alessandra Ambrosio went to a doctor today for a scheduled medical visit and is currently in good health.”

The Brazilian beauty shared a number of photographs on Instagram this weekend as she enjoyed Coachella with friends including fellow model Kendall Jenner.

Alongside one photo at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, she wrote: ”What a wonderful world. #Coachella #friends #music #goodvibes #foreveronvacation (sic)”

Sarah Jessica Parker’s sex lie to son

Sarah Jessica Parker told her son he could only have sex once.

The ‘Sex and the City’ actress was horrified when James – her eldest child with husband Matthew Broderick – asked her where babies came from when he was just two years old, so made up an explanation.

She admitted: ”At that time I told him that he had one seed.

”And there was a young woman named Mary who he would meet in sophomore year of college. She was going to be very smart, and lovely, and came from a nice family. And that he would choose Mary to give his seed to, but he had only one.”

However, it turned out the lie wasn’t necessary as the 50-year-old actress – who, as well as James, now 12, also has twins Marion and Tabitha, five, with her spouse – had misheard what the youngster had asked.

She explained to talk show host David Letterman: ”He had a little cloth that he called his ‘baby’ and he would hold it up to his face, and he asked me, ‘Where does my baby come from?’

”I said, ‘Oh my god! Where do babies come from?! I’m not prepared!’ I thought I had a good 10 or 12 years!

”So I thought about what I would like for him. Which is that he has one seed, and that he should choose wisely.”
