A Second Lawsuit Against Brandy

This new charge was brought against Brandy by the children, of a mother who was killed in a car accident caused by Brandy.

In December, Brandy hit a car driven by Awatef Aboudihaj, 38.  She was killed, and her two sons, 14 and 10, were injured.

The most recent lawsuit filed by the children’s lawyer is arguing that these children will have permanent damage from this accident.

Slash Doing an Autobiography

Former member of Guns N’ Roses, Slash, real name, Saul Hudson, will be publishing his autobiography in the fall.

The 41-year-old guitarist of the group Velvet Revolver, has partnered with author Anthony Bozza to write this book.  Bozza was asoociated with Tommy Lee, drummer from Motley Crue, when he wrote Tommyland.

Marcia Gay Harden in the Mist

Gay Harden, Oscar winner in 2000 for Pollock, will be playing opposite Toby Jones in the movie The Mist.  Other cast members include Thomas Jane, Andre Braugher, and Amin Joseph.

This thriller will be directed by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Frankenstein).

The Mist tells the story of a group of people that seek refuge in a supermarket because there is a murderer among them.

The Mist will be in theatres on November 21.

Prince Harry Off to War

Prince Harry’s decision was confirmed this morning by the British Secretary of Defense, who also mentioned he may be kept out of harm’s way.

Harry, 22, is  third in line to the throne in England.  He is carrying out family tradition by serving his country.  He is the first member of the Royal family to serve as an officer in a war since 1982.  His uncle, Prince Andrew, had served in the Argentina/Falkland Islands war.

Metallica Going on Tour

Metallica will be going into the studio on March 12, with Rick Rubin to record their new album, which will be the highlight of their summer tour.

The group will be in Europe starting on July 1.

Britney Spears In and Out of Rehab

It is the second time in the last couple of days that the singer is admitted to a private clinic, and discharged a few hours later.

The star with a newly shaven head, was admitted into a rehab centre in Malibu, California.

Since Spears’ separation from her husband Kevin Federline, she has been frequently in the tabloids because of her lifestyle.  She has been partying in bars in California, and Las Vegas.

Last Friday evening, just a few hours after being discharged from a treatment facility, Spears went to a hair salon, and had her head shaved.

The Darkness Will Continue to Sing

The three remaining members of the group of Lowestoft announced that they have started working on their new album.  The bass player, Richie Edwards, will be lead singer.

The new songs will be released under another name to avoid confusion.

The Darkness had instant success in 2003 with their album, Permission to Land, especially with their single I Believe in a Thing Called Love.

In 2004, the four man band won three Brit Awards.

From that moment on, things started to unravel.  Frankie Poullain, left the group in May 2005.  Last August, Justin Hawkins was admitted to a private clinic for a cocaine addiction.  Two months later he announced that he was leaving the group.

The Van Halen Comeback Compromised

According to USA Today, that cited someone close to the group, the sale of concert tickets was supposed to start this weekend and has been postponed for an undetermined period of time.

The spokeperson for the group stated that  the tour had not been cancelled officially, and the rest was speculation.

In the meantime, Van Halen will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 12 in New York City.

Nicole Richie Pleads Not Guilty

Richie was accused of driving while drinking in December in Los Angeles.

The star was not in court to make her plea, and may need to do 90 days in prison.

According to the authorities, the 25-year-old was seen driving her vehicle on the wrong side of the road on December 11.

The police have confirmed that the star admitted consuming marijuana, and a painkiller, Vicodin.  She had to pay a fine of $15 000.

Aaron Eckhart Playing in Batman

Eckhart, star of the movie Thank You for Smoking, got the part of the villain in the sequel of Batman Begins.

The 38-year-old will be playing the part of Harvey Dent/Two-Face, a Gotham City lawyer, that turns evil after his face gets disfigured by acid.

This character has been played by Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever in 1995.

Batman will be starring Christian Bale, and will be directed by Christopher Nolan. Shooting will begin this summer.
