Vanessa Hudgens says dating Zac Efron made her ”really mean”.

The 26-year-old actress – who was in a relationship with her ‘High School Musical’ co-star for three years until 2010 – admits she grew increasingly ”fed up” with the female attention her then-boyfriend constantly received and couldn’t help but be hostile to his admirers.

She said: ”I went through a phase when I was really mean because I was so fed up.

”Girls were running after him, and I was giving them death stares.”

However, Vanessa soon realized she had adopted the wrong attitude.

She added: ”Then I realized that’s not what that’s about. ‘Spread the love, be a good person, they support you, be nice. ”

The ‘Spring Breakers’ star – who is now in a relationship with actor Austin Butler – also confessed to being a ”definite hippy” who loves dancing half-naked in public.

She told the New York Times newspaper: ”I’m a definite hippy.

”I’m literally my happiest self when I’m dancing half naked on a grass field listening to Led Zeppelin.”

And Vanessa credits Austin with helping restore her Christian faith and they are regular attendees at Hillsong, a church known for its flashing lights, club-like atmosphere and video production.

She said:”It feels like Arcade Fire — it’s epic like that. They really focus on you having your own personal relationship with Jesus, which is wonderful.”

Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards to wed ‘as soon as possible’

Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards are reportedly planning to get married ”as soon as possible.”

The couple have been rocked by rumors the former One Direction hunk cheated on his fiancée in Thailand two weeks ago but are thought to be putting the allegations behind them and focusing on becoming husband and wife later this year.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ”When Zayn proposed to Perrie nearly two years ago it was so he could marry her.

”Now though, he wants to make that right and get married as soon as they can plan the day they have been dreaming of.”

The pair have been trying to put on a united front since photographs emerged of Zayn, 22, holding hands with a mystery blonde following a night out in Phuket and were even spotted viewing a £2 million mansion in Welwyn, Hertfordshire recently.

Zayn announced his decision to leave the boyband – who are currently in the middle of their world tour – after the infidelity allegations broke earlier this month as he wants to enjoy being a young adult away from the global fame he was bombarded with.

Despite claiming he wants to live a ”normal” life, the singer is said to be keen to embark on a solo career and is believed to be working on material with producer Naughty Boy.

Speaking about his decision to leave earlier this week, he said: ”I can’t do this any more. But I’ve never felt more in control in my life. I feel like I’m doing what’s right, right by myself and right by the boys. I did try to do something that I wasn’t happy doing for a while, for the sake of maybe other people.”

Britney Spears’ Las Vegas residency named Best Overall Show

Britney Spears’ Las Vegas residency has been named Best Overall Show in the city.

The 33-year-old performer’s ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino won the title in a poll by readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, with voters also crowning it the Best Bachelorette Party.

The 113-show residency began in December 2013 and is currently set to continue until September 2015, with the star previously confirming the show – which features 24 tracks spanning her 16-year career – will run until at least 2016.

The ‘Womanizer’ hitmaker – who has sons Preston, nine, and Jayden, eight, with former husband Kevin Federline – previously revealed she was inspired to take up a series of shows on the famous Strip after being taken backstage during Celine Dion’s residency in 2003.

She said: ”I remember how beautiful it was – really cool, low-key – and [Celine’s] dressing room was great.

”I was actually jealous, like, ‘Oh, my gosh, she gets to be in one place all the time.’ Everything clicked: To have your children and your family and that way of life, it just makes sense to have everything in one place.”

Despite being applauded for having the best show, it was revealed earlier this year that ‘Candle in the Wind’ hitmaker Sir Elton John has overtaken Britney as the highest-earning performer in Las Vegas, earning $500,000 (£338,290), beating her reported $475,000 (£321,380) fee per show.

Tickets to see ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ in Las Vegas are currently available for dates throughout April, May, August and September.

Snoop Dogg planning Vegas trip for Beckham’s 40th

Snoop Dogg is planning to treat David Beckham to a ”big” night out in Las Vegas to celebrate his 40th birthday.

The ‘Young, Wild and Free’ hitmaker wants to give the former footballer – who turns 40 on May 2 – a night to remember in Sin City, but the hunk doesn’t have to worry about telling his wife Victoria Beckham about the trip as the rapper is already planning to speak to her.

He said: ”My boy David hits the big 4-0 this year and you know, we got to do something big to celebrate.

”It’s gotta be Vegas, there ain’t nowhere else it can be.

”You know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

”He ain’t got to worry about Victoria, I will speak with her and explain when a man turns 40 he needs to go away with his boys.”

But if David – who has children Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10, and three-year-old Harper with the fashion designer – is hoping to simply share a few quiet drinks with the star then he is mistaken as the 43-year-old rapper wants the pair to roll back the years and drop it like it’s hot in style.

He is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: ”40 is nothing these days. We’ll show we can go harder than the kids.”

Snoop has a great record when it comes to throwing birthday parties as just last month he put on a ‘Coming to America’-themed birthday bash for his 18-year-old son Cordell Broadus, which featured a throne and rose petals in a nod to Eddie Murphy’s 1988 movie.

Steven Spielberg paid for Dakota Fanning’s Vegas birthday

Steven Spielberg paid for Dakota Fanning to go to Las Vegas for her 21st birthday.

The 68-year-old filmmaker fulfilled a promise he made to the actress – who reached the milestone age in February – when they worked on 2005 movie ‘The War of the Worlds’ and footed the bill for the vacation she took with her family last weekend.

A source said: ”Steven Spielberg had promised Dakota he’d pay for her trip to Vegas for her 21st birthday! It was something he promised when they filmed ‘War of the Worlds’. Apparently they’ve kept in touch and he followed through with his promise.”

During the weekend visit with her family, the ‘Runaways’ star went to watch ‘America’s Got Talent’ winner Terry Fator’s show at The Mirage, ‘The VOICE of Entertainment’ because she had been a big fan of the ventriloquist when he appeared on series two of the talent show.

The source told E! News: ”Dakota and her family were fans of Terry from ‘America’s Got Talent’ and Dakota really wanted to see him.”

The blonde beauty previously claimed she would probably ”stay home” on her birthday because she hadn’t made any plans.

Speaking in November, she said: ”I have no idea what to do. It’s been such a talked-about thing for so long, like, what are you gonna do for your birthday, that I think by the time it rolls around I’m just going to stay home with five friends and call it a day.”

Lena Headey says her divorce was ”tough.”

The ‘Game of Thrones’ star, who is currently expecting her second child with a mystery man, admits her split from musician ex-husband Peter Loughran in 2011 after four years of marriage took a toll on her.

She said: ”It’s tough. There’s a lot of sadness and disappointment.”

But the 41-year-old actress, who has battled depression in the past, credits their five-year-old son, Wylie, for helping her to get over their split.

She told the April issue of MORE magazine: ”I haven’t had a spell in a long time. I think some people’s brains are just wired that way if you’re a thinker. People who never get anxious always amaze me. The world could be breaking up and they’re saying, ‘Everything’s fine!’ Getting older and having kids, you learn how to become less serious about it all.”

Meanwhile the British beauty, who plays Cersei Lannister in the HBO drama series, admits she is addicted to tattoos.

She said: ”I always want more. It’s a terrible thing. I’ll be outside a tattoo shop and hear the needle and think, ‘I could just get a little one that nobody would see …’

”It’s something you can’t run from. You have to sit and find a way through [the discomfort]. I find a real calm, a real peace to it.”

Taylor Swift mocks exam book for misquoting her lyrics

Taylor Swift has mocked an academic book for misquoting one of her songs.

The 25-year-old singer poked fun at the Princeton Review, an exam preparation book, for publishing incorrect lyrics from her 2009 hit ‘Fifteen’ and citing it as an example of poor grammar.

The book, which said ”pop lyrics are a great source of bad grammar”, claimed the lyrics read: ”Somebody tells you they love you, you got to believe ’em.”

However, the correct lyrics to the song are: ”Somebody tells you they love you, you’re gonna believe them.”

In response, Taylor posted on Tumblr: ”Not the right lyrics at all pssshhhh.

”You had one job, test people. One job.”

Subsequently, the Princeton Review has issued an apology and even offered to send two of Taylor’s fans to an upcoming concert.

The company tweeted: ”Sorry @taylorswift13! We’ll make it up to you. Pick a #grammar lover fan. 2 tickets to a U.S. show on us.”

Meanwhile, Jaime King said recently that Taylor will be the ”perfect” godmother to her unborn baby.

The ‘Hart of Dixie’ star, who is expecting her second child with husband Kyle Newman, believes she is the right person to take on the ”sacred” role.

The actress explained: ”I always knew she was going to be the godmother if I had another baby. Choosing a godmother is a very sacred and important thing in our family. They’re going to be guiding your child, and they’re responsible for them if something was to ever happen. We try and choose people who we know would raise our child the way that we would raise our child and her thoughtfulness, her kindness, her authenticity . . . is so powerful to me. She’s so uninhibited in her giving . . . It’s just beyond.”

Mila Kunis thinks about her daughter all the time – even when she’s having sex.

The ‘Ted’ star confessed during an appearance on ‘The Late Late Show’ that she has thought about her and husband Ashton Kutcher’s five-month-old baby Wyatt while making love to the Hollywood hunk, but host James Corden hinted he sometimes even talks about his kids Max, four, and five-month-old Carey, during bedroom fun.

Speaking on his presenting debut on the talk show last night (23.03.15), James – who has his two kids with wife Julia – told Mila: ”It’s almost impossible once you have a child, to the point where you might even be talking about it during sex. ‘You know, she almost rolled over today.’ ‘Really? That’s amazing.’ ”

The 31-year-old star chuckled and replied: ”That’s never happened! I’ve thought it, but that’s never happened!”

James then quipped: ”Then you look and it’s him and he’s just crying during sex. That’s what he does.”

Mila also admitted she definitely wants more children and while she and Ashton talk about Wyatt all the time and spend most of their time looking after her when they are not working, the couple try to treat themselves to a date night every week.

She added: ”Somebody gave us that advice when I first got pregnant, to make sure you take the time for yourselves.

”My parents – we’re very lucky – live down the street, so we have them do what’s called ‘monitor sitting. ”The baby goes down to sleep and they have to watch the monitor. I would say once a week we go out on a date. It’s not just the two of us, but like a double date or something.

”But yeah, [it’s] just to reconnect, and we make an effort to not talk about the baby.”

Kim Kardashian West’s doctor has warned her she is having too much sex.

The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star and husband Kanye West – who already have 20-month-old daughter North together – have been sleeping together up to 15 times a day in a bid for her to get pregnant again but have been advised to cut down by specialists.

Kim admitted: ”The doctors said he thinks I’m having sex too much. He said one time is more powerful…so we’ve tried everything.”

The 34-year-old beauty is baffled as to why she hasn’t conceived yet and has decided to stop following the rules in a fresh attempt to get pregnant.

She told E! News: ”I’ve done everything so perfect to try and get pregnant. There’s a list of things you shouldn’t be doing and I was perfect for eight to 10 months and now I don’t understand.

”I’m going to do everything that I want to do and that includes going platinum. Hopefully I will get pregnant doing all the wrong things. I’m totally changing my tactics.

”I’m over it. I’m over trying, overthinking it, hence why I dyed my hair blonde.”

And Kim is particularly baffled why people who don’t want children seem to conceive so easily.

She joked: ”Literally teenagers on meth get pregnant in two seconds. It’s crazy. When you don’t want to be pregnant, it happens.”

David Arquette thrown out of Justin Bieber’s birthday bash

David Arquette was reportedly thrown out of Justin Bieber’s 21st birthday party after getting into a fracas with the pop star.

The ‘Scream’ actor was among the guests at Justin’s bash which started at Omnia nightclub on Saturday night (14.02.15) and continued until 7am Sunday morning (15.03.15) at the rooftop villa at the Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace.

The altercation occurred at the after-party, when Justin discovered David was talking badly about him behind his back and had him thrown out, but the actor got back in and made a lunge at the singer before being hurled out of the suite by Justin’s friends.

An eyewitness told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: ”Justin heard what David had been saying, and threw him out of his suite with the help of a friend, because they didn’t have security up there. Somehow David managed to get back in and rushed at Bieber to take him out. There was a confrontation, then other people got in the way to separate them. David was thrown out again, this time for good.”

Justin was paid $500,000 by Hakkasan Group to host his coming of age celebration at Omnia nightclub and it is believed David – the ex-husband of Courteney Cox – may have been a guest because he is a partner in Hollywood nightspot Bootsy Bellows with the h.wood Group, which was last year acquired by the Hakkasan Group.
