Cameron Diaz engaged?

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are reportedly engaged.

The ‘Bad Teacher’ actress – who previously dated stars including Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez – and the 35-year-old rocker are said to be planning to marry after just seven months of dating, multiple sources told Us Weekly magazine.

One source said: ”Everyone thinks it’s wild but are so happy for them. Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it’s for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there’s nothing better than that.”

It was previously claimed that ”traditional” Benji was keen to tie the knot with Cameron, 42, but she wasn’t as bothered about marriage.

A source said: ”He is more traditional then her. She really doesn’t care about getting married but wants babies. He wants to get engaged and married first.”

The ‘Sex Tape’ actress’ mother Billie is likely to be thrilled by the news as she is said to be a big fan of the Good Charlotte singer.

A source said previously: ”Billie has been gushing about Cameron’s new relationship. She absolutely loves Benji and she hopes this is the man her daughter will finally settle down with.”

Jennifer Lopez not rushing to marry again

Jennifer Lopez isn’t rushing to get married again.

The 44-year-old singer – who has been married three times before – has been dating her beau Casper Smart, 27, since 2011, but she’s adamant she won’t be walking down the aisle any time soon.

She said: ”’In the past, love for me has always meant forever and sure you still nurse those fantasies, but I don’t try to force it any more.

”I hung on to my fairy tale ideals for a long time. But where I am now, what I’ve been through, there are no rules.

”There are lots of ways it can turn out instead of just one. There are so many different kinds of happiness, not just the one you learned about when you were five years old.”

The ‘On the Floor’ hitmaker admits she has a history of ”rushing things through” when it comes to love, but she’s trying to work out why she can’t stand being alone.

She explained: ”Look I don’t love being alone. I don’t. I can’t beat myself up about that. What I have to do is figure out why I don’t like it. Why am I not OK being alone? And can I be OK facing that?”

The brunette beauty believes her six-year-old twins Emme and Max – with whom she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony – have helped her to focus on the important things in life.

She explained in the April edition of InStyle magazine: ”Kids really focus you – it’s primal. You come home and you’re tired and they have no idea if you’ve had the greatest day or the roughest. ‘Mommy, I don’t care if your head hurts, I want to sit in your lap an eat food in your hair’.”

‘Gravity’, ’12 Years a Slave’ battle for Baftas

(AFP) – "Gravity" leads the nominations for the Baftas on Sunday, but the harrowing "12 Years a Slave" is tipped to win the top honours at the last major awards ceremony before the Oscars.

Hollywood stars are due to pack out the Royal Opera House in London for the glitzy red carpet event, attended by Prince William and hosted for a ninth time by actor Stephen Fry.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards are a useful guide to which way the Academy Awards might go on March 2.

Last year "Argo" won for best film, Daniel Day-Lewis for best actor, and Christoph Waltz and Anne Hathaway in the best supporting categories — awards replicated at the Oscars.

With British-made films such as space drama "Gravity" proving box office hits, and UK actors earning critical acclaim, the Baftas seem likely to reward home-grown talent.

"Gravity" has 11 nominations; Golden Globe winners "12 Years a Slave" and "American Hustle" were each nominated in 10 categories, while "Captain Phillips" was nominated nine times.

"Behind the Candelabra" and "Saving Mr. Banks" have five nominations each.

"12 Years a Slave", starring British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as a free black man who is kidnapped and enslaved in the United States, is nominated in five of the big six categories.

Bookmakers have "12 Years a Slave" as the 1/8 runaway favourite for best film, with Ejiofor even more heavily odds-on for best actor at 1/10.

Cate Blanchett is also 1/10 for best actress for her title role portrayal in Woody Allen’s "Blue Jasmine".

"Gravity" director Alfonso Cuaron is a 1/2 favourite in his category.

"These really are the precursor to the Oscars," said Joe Crilly, spokesman for betting chain William Hill.

"Usually you have a little battle on your hands — at least for best film — where normally two are relatively close, but this year it’s strange that there are so many odds-on favourites," he told AFP.

"There’s also the British bias that you generally tend to see at the Baftas.

"If you’ve got an incredible performance by a non-British actor you will always see them do quite well. But Ejiofor puts in a very good performance and being British we think he shades it over Leonardo DiCaprio."

The Best Film Award is being disputed between "12 Years a Slave", "American Hustle", "Captain Phillips", "Gravity" and "Philomena".

– Special award for Mirren –

Judi Dench is nominated for drama "Philomena" in the best actress category — a record 15th Bafta acting nomination taking her one clear of Meryl Streep.

Workers at the Royal Opera House have already been working out the seating plan for the likes of DiCaprio, Blanchett, Dench and Sandra Bullock.

Fellow nominees Matt Damon, Michael Fassbender, Bradley Cooper, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks and Martin Scorsese will also be treading the red carpet.

However, they might be squelching down it under umbrellas if the storms that have been lashing Britain since New Year continue.

Helping to present the awards will be the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Irons, Kiefer Sutherland, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Stanley Tucci and Uma Thurman.

Bafta’s highest accolade, the Academy Fellowship, is being given this year to Helen Mirren, "in recognition of her exceptional contribution to film".

Prince William, second in line to the throne and the academy’s president, will present her with the award.

Previous recipients include Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, Sean Connery, Elizabeth Taylor, Christopher Lee, Anthony Hopkins and Scorsese.

Mirren, a four-time Bafta winner, is "one of the most outstanding actresses of her generation," said the academy’s chairman John Willis.

"Helen’s incredibly successful career is testament to the determination, dedication and skill she brings to each of her roles."

Besides the regular categories, Bafta also has an Outstanding British Film award.

"Gravity", "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom", "Philomena", "Rush", "Saving Mr. Banks" and "The Selfish Giant" are in the running this year.

Mario Lopez becomes dad again

Mario Lopez has become a father for the second time.

The ‘Extra’ host and his wife Courtney Mazza welcomed a baby boy, Dominic, into the world on Monday evening (09.09.13) and the couple ”couldn’t be happier” with the new addition to their family.

Mario wrote on Twitter: ”It’s a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please welcome Dominic Lopez to the world. Couldn’t be happier … Courtney and baby are doing just fine.”

The 39-year-old hunk and the Broadway dancer are already parents to Gia Francesca, who turns three on Wednesday (11.09.13).

Mario almost missed the birth of his son and was forced to rush straight to hospital from the set of ‘The X Factor’ USA.

He posted: ”Whoa.. Cutting it close. Just wrapped @TheXFactorUSA & I’m rushing to the hospital. Baby Lopez #2 is coming tonight! Baby better wait for me”.

The pair had decided to keep the sex of the baby a secret, a decision which didn’t sit well with their curious daughter Gia.

The ‘Saved by the Bell’ star recently told People magazine: ”[Gia]’s pointing at the baby and saying, ‘There’s a baby in there’.

”She wants to know if it’s a boy or a girl, but we don’t know because we’re waiting to find out. That’s kind of tough sometimes, we just don’t know!”

Miley Cyrus loses Vogue cover after twerking at VMAs

Miley Cyrus’ controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) has lost her the chance to appear on the cover of Vogue magazine.

The 20-year-old singer’s duet with Robin Thicke, which featured Miley twerking and gyrating up against the R&B singer and using a foam finger in a sexually suggestive way, at the ceremony in New York City last month made headlines across the world.

One person who was not a fan is Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour who has decided to drop shots of Miley intended for the December issue of the fashion bible because of her "distasteful" appearance.

A source told the MailOnline: "Anna found the whole thing distasteful. She decided, based on Miley’s performance, to take the cover in a different direction."

Miley – who is engaged to hunky actor Liam Hemsworth – was seen on stage in a flesh-colored, latex bikini, wagging her tongue and making sexual facial expressions while she danced up against Robin as they performed his hit ‘Blurred Lines’.

The former ‘Hannah Montana’ star attracted an avalanche of criticism on social media and from watching celebrities.

Speaking about her twerking, One Direction star Harry Styles said: "I think it’s quite inappropriate. Especially for the age groups that it’s aimed at. I think it’s, you know, promoting promiscuity."

Describing Miley’s appearance as "sad", Cyndi Lauper said: "That was girl gone wild. So sad, so sad … I just felt like that was so beneath her and raunchy, really raunchy. It wasn’t even art."

Ben Affleck testing Batman voice on wife

Ben Affleck has been testing out his Batman voice on Jennifer Garner.

The star has been cast as The Caped Crusader alongside Superman in the sequel to ‘Man of Steel’ and has been perfecting his superhero voice on his actress spouse.

When asked if she has heard him practicing for his role by MTV News, Jennifer replied: "I hear every voice."

Ben has proved a controversial choice to play the DC Comics character but Jennifer is confident he will bring something new to the famous role – most recently played by Christian Bale in ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy.

She added: "You know, I was excited for him [being cast]. I was excited because he had a real take on what he wanted to do, and you know, I have to say, my husband is a pretty great storyteller himself, and I’m excited to watch him do it."

Ben, 41, has long been a huge Batman fan, and even installed a revolving bookcase in his house like the fictional character’s alter-ego Bruce Wayne has to get to his Batcave.

Close friend Kevin Smith explained: "He brings me into the room and goes, ‘Look at this’. There’s an office room and this beautiful bookcase – he reached under and he clicked something and all of a sudden the bookcase opened.

"I was like, ‘No! You built a f***ing Batcave?’ And he was like, ‘No I built a Batcave entrance!’ When you went in behind the bookcase it was a panic room."
