Finding Nemo Becomes a Musical

The Disney film will be adapted into a musical before the end of the year for Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  It is already known that the songs Avenue Q, written by Robert Lopez, and Along the Way, by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, will be part of the show.

Finding Nemo – The Musical follows the story of Marlin and Nemo, father and son fish.  The musical will include puppets, dancers, acrobats and a beautifully decorated set.

The film Finding Nemo was released in 2003, and generated more than $865 million at the box offices.

Dan Brown Accused of Plagiarism Again

Brown, who was cleared of similar accusations just days ago, is now being sued by Mikhail Anikin for plagiarism.  The arti historian from St. Petersburg hopes to be compensated for his original ideas.

According to the historian, the author stole his idea that Leonardo Da Vinci’s famed Mona Lisa painting was in fact an allegory for the Christian church.  Anikin published his theory in a book in 2000.

Released in 2003, Da Vinci Code has sold more than 40 million copies world wide.

Kanye West’s Mission Impossible Theme

West, who recently won three Grammy Awards, follows the footsteps of Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton of U2, and Limp Bizkit, who recorded the theme songs for the first two movies.

Mission: Impossible III, directed by J.J. Abrams, opens on May 5.

Jennifer Lopez Files Suit to Block Ex

The American star asked the court Monday to block the negative book.  According to papers filed in a Los Angeles court, Noa has been "shopping a manuscript containing private and intimate statements, many of which are negative, denigrating and disparaging, about his ex-wife."

The New York Post reports that the book’s title is The Unknown Truth: A Passionate Portrait of a Serial Thriller.

Lopez was married to Noa, her first husband, in February, 1997.  The couple opened a Miami restaurant together, and were divorced after only 11 months of marriage.

Jessica Simpson’s $100 Million Lawsuit

According to website thesmokinggun.com, Simpson did not keep her end of the contract when she agreed to work for Tarrant Apparel Group, who makes jeans and accessories.  The suit was filed in a New York court.

According to Tarrant, the star was hired to promote their products, however she later refused to be photographed in the JS jeans that the brand had created for her.  She also did not wear the clothing for appearances and concerts as she had agreed to in the 2004 contract, which was a three-year arrangement.

Melanie Griffith Disses Designer

In a suit filed Friday in Los Angeles, Niklas J. Palm claimed that he designed a dress for Griffith (Working Girl, Lolita, Crazy in Alabama) as asked, but the star refused to pay $26,000, and also never mentioned the desinger, as promised, on the red carpet.

Lindsay Lohan Snubbed by Louis Vuitton

The prestigious contract with the French company, that had previously been given to Lohan, has now been revoked, and instead offered to Naomi Campbell.

The 19 year-old star was to replace Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen and become the new face of the brand.

According to rumours, Louis Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs, who is a good friend of Lohan’s, was insisting that the actress join the campaign.  However, she has been dropped from her contract, with Louis Vuitton executives citing that Lohan is "too American" for their global brand.

Model Naomi Campbell is reportedly thrilled to be joining the Louis Vuitton campaign.

Kate Moss May Be Planning Clothing Line

The 32 year-old star has apparently revealed her plans to her friends.  She is planning to build her "after modeling" career.  According to the Mail On Sunday, Moss is eager to rebuild her life after her struggle with drugs during the last year.

A friend of the model explained, "Kate loves clothes and lives for fashion. She has no plans to retire yet but she knows her days as a model are numbered."

She added, "Her daughter Lila Grace is the most important thing to her and she knows she needs to provide for her and sees the fashion range as a good way of doing this."

Teri Hatcher Wants to Be Well-Paid

Hatcher, who stars in television’s Desperate Housewives, hopes to make nice profits on several new products that are being created for her.  If she reaches her goal, the star will earn nearly $6 million each year.

According to English newspaper The Mail on Sunday, who quotes a source close to Hatcher, "(Series producer) Disney is desperate to keep her happy so has come up with a deal that gives her a cut of profits from the video game, board game and a planned online clothing store."

The source added, "There are also plans for a cookbook, music DVD and a fragrance. This is going to be a huge, lucrative franchise and Teri has made sure she’s getting a cut of every deal. "

Daniel Craig Ready to Cash In

The actor, who was not well known until his selection to play Agent 007 in Casino Royale, hopes to make a lot of money in the future.  Craig, 38, does not plan to work in films with small budgets.  He says, "I want to make big movies and make as much money as I can. It would be nice to earn loads of cash."

Casino Royale, the 21st film of the James Bond series, is scheduled to open in theatres in November.  Daniel Craig is replacing Pierce Brosnan in the role of the secret agent.
