Busta Rhymes’ Bodyguard Killed

Israel Ramirez, 29, was shot outside of a warehouse where Rhymes was shooting his latest video.  More than 500 fans were also gathered outside.  Missy Elliot and Mary J. Blige were inside the building with Rhymes at the time of the shooting.

According to police, violence errupted earlier in the evening near the studio.  No others were hurt in the shooting.  Ramirez, the father of three, was guarding the jewellery being used in the video shoot, when he was shot in the chest.

Police are currently looking for the shooter.  According to witnesses, at least a dozen shots were fired.  We still don’t know the reason for the incident.

Mark Wahlberg Reuniting with Joaquin Phoenix

The two stars, who worked together previously in The Yards, will be directed by James Gray in the new project.  Filming for the drama is set to begin next month in New York.

Wahlberg and Phoenix will play police officers investigating Russian mafia members who are controlling various nightclubs.

Reese Witherspoon Days No to Music Career

The actress, who played June Carter in the film Walk the Line, has been approached by music label managers.  In an interview with IOL, she revealed, "After the movie came out I started getting calls from country music record labels going, ‘Do you want to make a record?’"

"The answer was ‘No, I don’t’. I have no desire to do that again, partly just because the performance element was so challenging for me."

She added, "I could do it in a tiny recording studio but then when we had to go out and there were thousands of extras who’d just wait for you to do something and entertain them – it was just awful, awful. Terrifying!"

Reese Witherspoon has been nominated for Best Actress for her performance in that film for this year’s Oscar Awards.

The biographic film will explore Gaye’s health problems, depresssion, and drug problems.

Kate Moss is Best Dressed

For the third year, the readers of Glamour magazine have placed Moss at the top of the list of the best-dressed women, and her recent drug scandal didn’t seem to affect the voting.

Actress Sienna Miller and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham were second and third respectively. 

As for the worst dressed celebrities, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears topped the list of that survey.

According to television’s Entertainment Tonight, the couple plans to marry at the end of the winter.

Mohr is known for his performances in the films Jerry Maguire and Last Comic Standing among others.  Nikki Cox is best known for her roles in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Las Vegas and others.

Ashlee Simpson Has a New Boyfriend

In the March edition of Seventeen magazine, the singer revealed that she is dating one of her band members, Braxton Olita.  She went on to say that after becoming ill while in Japan, she took a 10-day Hawaiian vacation with her new love.

She explained, "We’ve been really close for a while now, since he’s been in the band a few months."

Although she is happy, she added that she is proceeding with caution.  "It’s scary for me to actually have a boyfriend," she told Seventeen. "You give your heart up and it might be broken."

Simpson’s sister, Jessica Simpson, has recently filed for divorce.  When questioned about if that was the reason for her hesitation with love, she responded, "You do what you gotta do, but for me, I think marriage is a hard thing to get through."

Joely Fisher Gives Birth to a Daughter

Fisher, 38, is now the mother of two.  Fisher and her husband, Christopher Duddy, also have a four year-old son, Skylar. 

Fisher plays Nina Fletcher on Desperate Housewives, while Duddy is a special effects specialist who worked on the films Terminator 2: Judgement Day, True Lies, Total Recall and others.

Watch the Trailer for Find Me Guilty

The film was written and directed by Sidney Lumet (12 Angry Men, Dog Day Afternoon, Network) and is based on a true story by Giacomo "Jackie Dee" DiNorscio (Vin Diesel).  DiNorscio was a mobster who defended himself in court.  He was accused of 76 legal violations, and the trial became the longest-lasting mafia trial on record.

$20 Million for Paris Hilton’s Things

The items were originally taken from a Los Angeles area storage facility, where Hilton had been keeping some items while she moved from one home to another.  However, when the bills for the storage site were unpaid, the items then became the property of the storage facility owner. 

A representative told People magazine, "We learned the items were missing last Thursday.  The people who have the items claim they purchased them at auction … because the (storage) bills were not paid. Our records indicate all invoices have been paid."

The current owner of the items, David Hans Schmidt, has told the Los Angeles Times that he will ask a minimum of $20 million for the items that once belonged to the 24 year-old celebrity.
