The star, who hopes to release the CD before the end of this year, is collaborating with Rick Rubin, Timbaland, and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
In an interview with Billboard magazine, will.i.am tried to explain the direction of Timberlake’s new project. "I can’t explain it, that’s how dope it is," he says with a laugh. "He just surprised me again. I was surprised that I was even going to like Justin Timberlake. Then he turned me into a fan, and I’ve become a fan. That means you are so talented that you are changing people’s vocabulary. Hat’s off, skull off and scalp."
Timberlake’s first solo effort after leaving the band N’Sync was 2002’s Justified. That disc won a number of awards, including Best Pop Record at the Grammy Awards.
