Versace for Britney Spears’ Baby

According to The Sun, Donatella Versace called the star and offered a complete wardrobe for the baby free of charge.

The singer accepted the offer with pleasure.  A source told the paper, "Britney was over the moon when Donatella offered to make all the kid’s clothes."

"They have met a few times and mingle in the same circles, but Britney never expected such a generous offer."

"Britney and Donatella have a mutual friend in Madonna and Britney was very impressed by how Madge’s daughter was kitted out."

"She is hoping that her baby will be the trendiest since Madonna’s own daughter, Lourdes!"

Spears is expecting to give birth in the coming weeks.

Jennifer Lopez Snubbed at Premier

Lopez and the other stars of the film were in New York Wednesday for the big event.

The actress was being protested by animal rights activists group PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals).  It wasn’t the first time for PETA to rally against the star.  Lopez has a fondness for fur clothing, and her own clothing line features fur pieces.

The film An Unfinished Life also stars Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman.

Katie Holmes Wants to Change Her Name

Although it will be Cruise’s third marriage, it will be the first time that his wife will take his name.  His two previous wives, Nicole Kidman and Mimi Rogers, kept their maiden names.

According to the magazine In Touch, the actress will use the name Katie Cruise both personally and professionally.

Cirque du Soleil On The Wall

According to Le Soleil, the newspaper of Quebec, Canada, Roger Waters has already revealed his intentions to work with the world-famous circus on a Broadway production.

According to Waters, work has already started, and a show is currently being written.

The Wall has earned more than $23 million since its release in 1979.

Claire Danes to Join Richard Gere

Danes (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) and Gere will play American Federal agents who must track down a missing girl who could be connected to a paroled sex offender who is under investigation.

Filming for The Flock is set to begin on October 10.

Danes can next be seen in the film Shopgirl with Steve Martin in October.  She also stars in The Family Stone with Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams and Sarah Jessica Parker in November.

$200,000 For a Night With Paris

Cecil Barker, a bar owner from Miami, placed the bid at a charity auction to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.  The money raised will go directly to the Red Cross to help those along the Gulf Coast of the United States.

Bambi Sequel Straight to DVD

On February 7, 2006, Bambi II will be on store shelves from DisneyToon Studios.  The DVD will also include bonus features such as games and previously unreleased footage from the original Bambi.

In this film Bambi will be raised by her father, the prince of the forest.

Patrick Stewart will provide the voice for Bambi’s father.

Lindsay Lohan Helps a Victim

The 19 year-old star of the film Freaky Friday was in New Orleans working earlier this year, and she couldn’t resist helping the young girl.  She says, "There was this girl the other night I was at dinner and she was from New Orleans. She came here (to New York) for a trip for the day."

"Ironically, she couldn’t go back and she is here. So I kind of took her under my wing. I said: ‘Do you want to come and stay with us for the rest of the night?’ It’s just the scariest thought. I can’t even imagine it."

Rod Stewart to Pay $2 Million

The singer was taken to court for not honouring his engagements at a Las Vegas casino in 2000.

The seven members of the jury unanimously found Stewart guilty of breaking his contract with the Rio Hotel and Casino.

The 60 year-old star was unable to perform at a New Year’s Eve concert because he was still recovering from throat surgery.  However, the performer had taken and kept an advance from the Hotel for that show.

Lawyers for Stewart have already announced that they are planning an appeal.

Nicole Kidman Falls for a Cowboy

According to the New York Post, the couple were spotted dining together in Connecticut.

"He was a perfect gentleman. He opened the car door for her when they left. They were deep in conversation all during dinner they looked very together," a source told the paper.

It is also not the first time the two have been spotted together.  Last month, they were spending time together in Woodstock, New York.

Apparently, they met at a Los Angeles event that was honouring Australian stars.  A representative for the 38 year-old actress said, "They are friends, but they are not dating."
