Ricky Martin Speaks Out About His Absence

Martin revealed this infomation to IOL.  He decided one evening during a concert in Australia in 2000, that he needed to stop.

The 33-year-old says, "I was so tired, so burnt out. I don’t know if it was a breakdown, but I probably would have had one if I hadn’t stopped that day.  I was onstage in front of 25,000 people and I wasn’t enjoying it. The applause wasn’t bringing me a rush. As a matter of fact, it disgusted me. I was completely disorientated.  Something was wrong. I needed to stop. That day in Sydney, I said, ‘This is my last show today.’ We were supposed to be going to Argentina and Brazil. I knew it would cost me a lot to cancel, but I didn’t care. People told me if you stop now, this is the end of your career."

Ricky Martin is releasing a new album Life in October, following his five year absence.

Tara Reid’s Shoes Were Pampered

The star of the American Pie movies, was forced to book an extra room at the Hotel Baglioni, when she realized she had too many shoes with her.

Reid was in London filming the movie Wild.  The hotel employees were surprised at her request, and one told The Daily Telegraph, "She booked herself into one of our most expensive suites at around £2,000 (€2,930) a night but then requested a second room too to keep all her shoes. It was absolutely bizarre. She said she’d collected all these shoes while she’d been travelling around Europe, but quite why she has to house them separately remains a mystery."

Ironically, actress and heir, Paris Hilton, known for her outlandish behaviour, stayed at this same hotel, but did not make any special requests of this kind.
