Paris Hilton Gets Engaged

According to the American magazine, People, reps for the actress confirmed the news, "Latsis proposed to the 24 year-old star last Wednesday."

The star of the television series Simple Life has been in Europe for three weeks promoting her new film House of Wax and her new perfume.

The couple hosted a party for friends and relatives at her parents’ home last Saturday in Hollywood Hills.  No wedding date has been announced.  It will be the first marriage for both.

"They are happy and excited," Hilton spokesman Rob Shuter told People magazine.

Harry Potter Has Acne

The stars of the Harry Potter series of films are having normal teenage problems…spots!  The producers are so concerned that they have had to call on the expertise of several technicians.

Each frame of the film is being of the film is being reviewed, and the stars’ faces are being digitally enhanced.

The young stars have all entered their teen years, since making the first Harry Potter film in 2001.  Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is now 15, Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) is 17, and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) is 15.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be released in November.

Paltrow and Martin Snub Queen’s Invite

The two stars will not be attending the annual garden party for Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace.

Each year, Queen Elizabeth II plays hostess to nearly 30,000 people during three different parties.  Many celebrities are invited to take part.

On June 7, Coldplay will release their new CD, entitled X&Y.  Their previous disc, A Rush of Blood to the Head sold more than 10 million copies.

The Fugees Return to the Studio

The band members are working together again after a 9 year absence.  Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras Michael parted ways after releasing The Score in 1996.

Pras Michael confirmed the news to ContactMusic, "We’re working on it. Clef and Lauryn are putting tracks together while I drop my solo album."

Oliver Stone Arrested

According to police, the director was stopped for driving his car under the influence of alcohol, and drugs were found in his car.

It’s not the first time Stone has had problems with the police.  In 1999, he plead guilty to drunk driving and drug possession, and underwent mandatory drug counseling.

Stone has won Oscars for his work on the films Born on the Fourth of July and Platoon.

Indiana Jones 4 On the Way

After waiting for several months, and several script rejections, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg have finally given their approval to a story.

According to Variety, Paramount studios still needs Harrison Ford to read and approve the script before the project can go forward.

If this last step is accomplished, filming for Indiana Jones 4 should start in 2006.

The Indiana Jones series began in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark.  That film earned more than 1.2 million dollars world wide.

Sylvester Stallone to Return to Rambo

Shooting for the film starts in January in Bulgaria.  The production will also be filmed in India and the United States as well.  In the fourth episode, the ex-green beret John Rambo has been living a normal life for the past 15 years, while still working for the military.  When work pressures force him to move his family to the American outback, he then finds himself in the middle of a racist battle.

A release date hasn’t yet been announced for Rambo IV.

Justin Timberlake’s Mother to Write a Book

The mother is hoping to protect the reputation of her son, who has been the subject of various media-hyped stories regarding his amazing career as well as his love life.  Timberlake was previously involved in a relationship with Britney Spears, and is now dating actress Cameron Diaz.  His mother wants to write a book containing the truth.

The title of the book is yet unknown, but Hatless knows that the message of the book will be clear.  She said, "It will set the record straight. It hurts to read so many lies about him."

It is also unknown when the book will be in stores.

Another Record for Star Wars: Episode III

The final film of the Star Wars saga tied the record previously set by the film Spider-Man 2 for the fastest ticket sales in North America.  Episode III has now earned 356.9 million dollars world wide.

This entry of the Star Wars films has earned the 59th place in the most lucrative films in cinema history in America.  Not suprisingly, it is also the most lucrative film for the year 2005.

Two Members of The Cure Quit

Keyboardist Roger O’Donnell and guitarist Perry Barmonte are the two who have called it quits.  O’Donnell wrote on his official website, "As of Tuesday this week I am no longer a member of the Cure.  It was sad to find out after nearly 20 years the way I did but then I should have expected no less or more."  He also added that he has already started working on a solo disc.

The reason for the departure is still unknown.  The Cure is preparing for a tour at the end of the summer.
