Pink won’t cancel concerts

On Thursday evening (July 15), during her concert in Nuremberg, Germany, Pink crashed to the ground during a number in which she was supposed to soar to new heights.

The singer slammed into a metal barrier after being incorrectly secured into a harness that was meant to support her acrobatics,

The singer sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital, but didn’t break any bones. Nevertheless, the American star said she was very shaken by his misfortune.

Minutes after the tragedy, the singer apologized to her fans on Twitter for the premature end to her performance.

It’s no surprise, then, that the latest news from Germany has the 30-year-old star intent on making it onstage tonight for her concert in Salem.

The singer’s husband, Carey Hart, has revealed on his Twitter: "No, sriously, she is good. Just super banged up. One tough girl."

Simple Plan in pre-production for their next album

 

Last Tuesday, Quebec punk rock band Simple Plan announced on their website that they’ve begun pre-production work on a new album at a studio in Vancouver.
 

"So what exactly is happening during pre-production?" asks the post.

"Well, there are over 65 songs written and demo-ed for the album, way more than they ever wrote before for any of the previous albums. Now the guys are looking at all the songs to make sure sure they are good to go, and narrowing down the list of songs they want to record.

 

 

The members of Simple Plan began writing songs for this new album, which is as yet untitled, last January. The record is produced by Brian Howes (Hedley, Puddle Of Mudd).

Before the album’s release, the band will complete a world tour that includes a date in China on july 18, and subsequent dates on their home turf in Quebec before they leave for europe in September.

Eight is enough sleeve designs for new Arcade Fire record

Indie-music collectors and fans of the Canadian band Arcade Fire will get more bang for their buck with the band’s latest record release. Yesterday, the group unveiled eight different sleeve designs for their new record, The Suburbs: Collect ‘em all!

This third album from Arcade Fire, has 16 new tracks and hits racks on August 3rd.

Arcade Fire will continue its world tour as they launch The Suburbs. They will perform at Osheaga in Montreal July 31, then they’ll head to the U. S. before looping back to Canada to play Toronto on August 14th.

Subsequently, the group will head to Europe. They will give concerts in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

Robbie Williams on a comeback with Take That

Robbie Williams has confirmed that he’ll return as lead singer of the band Take That.

The group reunited in September during a New York concert, after which Williams decided to permanently rejoin he group.

"I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room," Williams told his fansite, www.robbiewilliams.,com.  "It feels like coming home."
 
Since that meeting, the group has secretly recorded a new album under the supervision of producer Stuart Price. This album, which is as of yet untitled, will be launched in November.

Take That is one of the most popular British bands of all time. The quintet has sold over 80 million records and have been seen in concert by more than 14.5 million fans. Their 13 albums have all hit #1 in England, and earned Brit Awards over 19 years.

Is Justin Bieber a free agent?

Rumours are flying that young Canadian sensation Justin Bieber is hooking up again with his ex-girlfriend, Caitlin Beadle.

Bieber and Beadle dated before "Bieber mania" swept the world and landed the young singer at the top of the charts.

Young Caitlin lives in Ontario and was invited to spend some time with Bieber during his recent getaway to the Bahamas. She excitedly informed the world on her Twitter page: "Bahamas here I come! Gonna be an awesome week!"

Beadle then fuelled reconciliation rumours when she added another message upon her return that stated: "What happens in the Bahamas stays in the Bahamas!"

Justin Bieber has remained close to his ex-girlfriend, even flying home to see her last summer after she was involved in a serious boating accident.

However, the Baby singer still appears to be flying solo. He laughed off rumours he was involved in a relationship.

Bieber shared a message of his own with friends and fans on Twitter that was pretty clear: "I’m single and ready to mingle!! Haha!" Sorry Caitlin.

Burberry gets into makeup

When you think of the Burberry, you inevitably think of trenchcoats. Now the English brand is taking its trademark one step further with the introduction of a trenchcoat-inspired cosmetics line.

The colours of these Burberry cosmetics are therefore offered in shades of gabardine, trench, smoke, grey and ash.

Already available in Canada and the United States, Burberry Beauty offers liquid foundations, eye pencils, bronzing powders, mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and gloss lip.

There’s good news for Burberry fans: the price of this debut Burberry Beauty collection is not too extravagant. Lipstick runs around $30 while it costs $52 for liquid foundation.

Burberry creative designer Christopher Bailey said he "didn’t want it to be about any one specific type of muse or face." He selected three British beauties, Lily Donaldson, Nina Porter and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, to appear in the ad campaign.

Burberry Beauty complements the wide range of products offered by the English brand, which dresses men, women, children while offering shoes, jewellery and accessories.

Oscar de la Renta follows the trend

Oscar de la Renta follows in the footsteps of luxury fashion houses Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo. It is now offering an Oscar de la Renta iPad clutch for the Apple must-have in limited edition.

The Mosaico iPad clutch is made of embroidered lambskin while its interior features ultra suede lining. Two snap closures ensure the precious iPad stays firmly in place. The Oscar de la Renta logo is placed on the front of the clutch, appearing in the bottom left corner.

Available in four colours, carnation red, white, yellow and stone grey, an Oscar de la Renta iPad runs for costs $290.

Louis Vuitton tattoos models

Louis Vuitton surprised observers during the presentation of its 2011 Spring menswear collection in Paris. Some of the runway models were tattooed.

Marc Jacobs is a fashion designer and creative director for the French luxury label. He is also a tattoo aficianado. One of Jacobs’ close friends happens to be a tattoo artist who has inked most of his tats.

Jacobs asked Scott Campbell to create tattoos (temporarily of course) to draw on the neck of some models. The artist created stencils inspired by the luxury brand’s famous logo.

Campbell also custom designed a line of LV leather bags that will likely be released for the 2011 Spring/Summer season.

Scott Campbell opened his tattoo shop, Saved Tattoo, in NYC in 2004. Other famous names he has inked include Helena Christensen and Heath Ledger.

Difficult days for Tiger Woods

The best golfer in the world is still trying to make a professional comeback after the world (and his wife) found out about his long string of extramarital affairs.

Tiger Woods is not playing as well as he would like, personal problems obviously having an impact on his A-game.

The disgraced golfer is competing in the AT&T National in Pennsylvania. The defending champion, Woods is currently in a tie for 81st spot.

He talked to reporters after the first round on June 30. He admitted: "Outside the ropes there are certainly still distractions. It is what it is."

There are reports spreading that Woods is finalizing a multi-million dollar divorce settlement with wife Elin Nordegren who is seeking full custody of their two kids.

Sources claim Woods wants to prevent his soon-to-be ex-wife from spilling even more beans about his personal life.

To add to the pile of personal woes, Woods confirmed he was questioned by the feds about his dealings with a Canadian doctor.

Dr. Anthony Galea is under investigation for distributing performance-enhancing drugs to some big name pro athletes.

Woods acknowledged: "I cooperated and answered all their questions and that was it."
