Angelina Jolie: “I Haven’t Slept with Brad Pitt”

The star, who was interviewed by the magazine Marie Claire, has made the first comments since photographs appeared in the press.  The pictures were of Jolie and Pitt, on various beaches in Africa.

In the article to be published on June 7, Jolie was asked pointedly if she had been intimate with Pitt.  But Jolie’s response was more pointed. "Absolutely not…. To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not, could not, look at myself in the morning if I did that," said the Oscar winner.

In another interview with James Lipton for Inside the Actors Studio, scheduled to air on June 5, Jolie describes her professional relationship with Pitt.  "We became very competitive, aggressive," said Jolie. "Everything escalated into these huge fight scenes. It was great to work with him. He’s a great actor. He’s also a really great guy. I didn’t know what to expect in meeting him. He’s extremely down to earth, goofy and funny and very good."
