No Divorce for Jessica Simpson

The singer, married for more than two years now, was furious when she learned that E!Online announced her divorce.  The internet site and television show declared Tuesday that the couple have separated.

Simpson responded to US Weekly regarding the story, "It is completely false and we would sue them if they hadn’t taken it down."

Separation rumours have been widespread for several months.  The stories range from Jessica having an affair while working on the film The Dukes of Hazzard, to pictures of Nick Lachey with a porn star.

Maria Sharapova to Launch a Perfume

The 18 year-old Wimbledon champ joins many celebrities who have entered the commercial world of fashion and fragrance.

The Siberia native explained, "I can’t say too much as it’s top secret but it’s very light and fresh, with hints of magnolia. I wanted it to be something people could wear all day long."

The new perfume will be sold in pale pink bottles.

Madonna Working on a New Disc

According to The Sun, the singer has already completed 8 songs for the collection.  The CD is scheduled to be in stores in January.

A source said: "Madonna has played her new material to Warner label bosses for the first time and they love it. There is a rockier edge and the usual electronic influence. The label are really excited and reckon it is full of hit singles."

Michelle Monaghan Joins Tom Cruise

Monaghan, 28, has taken the role of the woman who Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) falls for in the action film.

For the actress, it will be her biggest screen test yet, although she has already starred in the films Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, Constantine and The Bourne Supremacy.

Filming for the movie, under the direction of J.J. Abrams, is set to begin in September.

Simpson requested $35,000 per song.

Teri Hatcher Ready to Pose for Playboy

The star of the television series Desperate Housewives told her story to Jay Leno on the Tonight Show.  The star added, however, that the price for her to pose nude would be in the tens of millions of dollars.

Hatcher, denied the rumours that she refused to pose for the magazine along with her television costars.  "I didn’t hear that offer, because if I had, I’d be in Playboy!" she told Jay.

"I mean, really, everyone has a price and $10 million is mine. So I’ve put it out there."

Nicole Kidman Talking with Lars Von Trier

According to the Daily Mail, the star wants to work again with the director in the final entry of the controversial trilogy.

Kidman, who starred in the first film, Dogville, was unavailable to play in the second film, Manderlay.

In the movie Manderlay, the role of Grace was played by Bryce Dallas Howard, and there are talks of her returning and sharing the role of Grace with Kidman in the final film of the series.

The production for Washington is set to begin in the summer of 2007.

Gwyneth Paltrow Joins Estée Lauder

The 32 year-old star also joins British actress Liz Hurley, who is currently a spokesperson for the Re-Nutriv line.

Paltrow will soon be seen in a multinational ad campaign to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the perfume Pleasure.

A representative for Estée Lauder commented on their newest star, "Gwyneth has been on our radar screen for many years.  She’s talented. She’s serious. She’s beautiful. She’s a mother, and she’s respected in her craft."

Kylie Minogue Dreams of Children

The boyfriend of the singer, French actor Olivier Martinez revealed this information to friends, according to The Mirror.

The couple will now put those plans on hold, since Minogue was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

According to the Mirror Olivier told friends: "We were going to start working on it after the tour was over. Now it will be put off. Not for ever, we pray and hope, but for the time being."

"I love Kylie. With all my heart I love her. And we would both love a child."

The singer underwent surgery last week.  She is now awaiting the results, and also undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Hayden Christensen Wants to Retire

According to Britain’s The Sun, the actor, 24, wants to become an architect.  He said that his latest film, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, would be his last.

The Sun quotes him as saying: "I don’t find Hollywood interesting, so I’m thinking about studying architecture instead."

"A film is a product and as an actor you can only sell it if you sell yourself."

Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith reveals how Anakin Skywalker comes to fight Darth Vader.  The final entry of the film series from George Lucas exploded in box offices last week, earning more than 108 million dollars in North America alone.
