Reese Witherspoon Calls the Police

According to the New York Daily News, Witherspoon (Legally Blonde), 29, was chased by photographers when she exited her gym.

"Her trainer came out and had to help her get past them so she could get into her car," a source told the Daily News.

"Then they boxed her in on all four sides. When she finally pulled out, they jumped in their cars and took off after her. They almost ran her off the road. They chased her all the way home to where she lives in a gated community. The security guards jumped out and had to assist her to get away from them."

When Witherspoon arrived home, she called the police, who came immediately.  The photographers were gone before squad cars arrived, but they will continue to look for suspects, and take this sort of thing very seriously.

Witherspoon lives in Los Angeles with her husband Ryan Phillipe and their children Ava Elizabeth, 5, and Deacon, 18 months.

Eminem Lawsuit Thrown Out of Court

In a decision handed down Friday, the three-judge panel unanimously decided that arguments from Deangelo Bailey, a former classmate of Eminem’s, would not be allowed in court.

According to the man, the rapper put him in a false light regarding a school fight they had with the lyrics of his song Brain Damage. 

The jury stated that they felt the song was not meant to be taken literally.  In the song, the lyrics talk about being beaten by Bailey in the school bathroom.

Bailey, who has admitted to bullying the star, filed the lawsuit in 2001 claiming invasion of privacy.

Heather Graham Signs with Garnier

Graham (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, From Hell) will represent the 100% Color line for all publicity campaigns on television and in print.

It is the first time for Garnier to hire a celebrity to promote their products. 

Graham now follows the footsteps of other celebrities to become spokespeople, including Sarah Jessica Parker, who is representing Nutrisse.

The Wedding Singer to Become A Musical

In April, 2006 the stage show will first be presented on the famous New York avenue.  The cast hasn’t yet been announced.

In the movie, Adam Sandler played a singer who is desperately searching for love.  Drew Barrymore entered his life and turned it upside down.

The Wedding Singer earned more than 122 million American dollars at the theatres.

P. Diddy Sells Part of His Label

P. Diddy has earned over 30 million American dollars through Bad Boy since its beginnings in 1994.

According to the BBC, the singer will maintain control of the company, but his catalog of products and talent will become half the property of Warner Music.  Notable artists currently signed with the label are Mario Winans, Boys N Da Hood, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Lopez.

The company will keep its New York base, located in Manhatten.

Lucy Liu to Make Horror Film

In the film, directed by Sebastian Gutierrez (Gothika), the actress will play a woman who wakes up in a morgue. 

Filming begins this summer.  For now, we will see Liu soon in the film Domino along with Keira Knightley.  That film will be released in August.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Weak Memory

The 32 year-old star, who is married to Coldplay singer, Chris Martin, gave birth to their first child, Apple, last May.

Speaking to students at a London drama school, Gwyneth said: "I used to be excellent and then I had a baby and I can’t remember anything. I used to have a fantastic memory and now I can’t remember what day it is."

Even with this inconvenience, the star still mentioned that she would like to have another baby.

The actress has started working after spending the past year with her daughter.  She is currently filming Running With Scissors with Annette Benning.

Simple Plan Concert in Montreal

The group has confirmed the concert on their official website.  They will perform for fans on June 12, on a specially constructed stage on the race track.

They will actually be on the Gilles-Villeneuve hairpin on the Island of Notre Dame.

Singer D’Angelo Pleads Guilty

D’Angelo, whose real name is Michael Eugene Archer, was arrested in January by police who suspected that he was drunk.  After searching his vehicle, they discovered marijuana and cocaine.

The district judge of Virginia sentenced the 31 year old to 90 day suspended jail term, a $250 fine, and he will have his license suspended for one year.
