Katie Holmes and Chris Klein Split

No details were given for the reason for the separation.  A representative for the actress said that the couple wishes to remain friends.

A spokeswoman for Holmes tells America’s US WEEKLY magazine, "They want to stay friends and will continue that part of their relationship."

The couple began dating in 2001, and became engaged in December, 2003.

Katie Holmes starred in the film Phone Booth, among others.  She will also be seen this summer in Batman.

Chris Klein is the star of several comedies, including the American Pie films.

Watch Lords of Dogtown Trailer

Lords of Dogtown is set in the 70’s, when a group of teenagers from Venice, California, transfer their knowledge of surfing to the first skateboards.  The Z-Boys went quickly from being local celebrities to extreme sport superstars.

Based on a true story, Lords of Dogtown is directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Vanilla Sky).  The film will be in theatres this summer.

Pink to Star in Catacombs

Alecia Moore, alias Pink, will play the role of a young woman who attends an underground party while visiting Paris.  During the evening, she becomes separated from her friends.  She is then convinced that she is being pursued in the 14th century labyrinth, more than 300 kilometres long.

Filming starts next week in Bucharest, Romania.

Steve Martin and Kristin Davis Are A Couple

According to a quote in Britain’s Daily Star, the couple have been on several dates, and were spotted together at a pre-Oscar bash in Los Angeles.

According to the paper, Martin, 59, is so smitten with the actress, that he recently organized a suprise 40th birthday party for her last month.

One friend says, "It’s the real thing – they have become very close. They are ready to let people know they are an item. They tried to act like they were not together at the party but couldn’t stop stealing kisses."

Trailer for Madison with Jim Caviezel

In Madison, Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ), plays racing boat driver Jim McCormick.  The action drama is based on the true story about the legendary efforts of the small population of Madison, Indiana during the boat racing season of 1971.

The film, which was presented at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival, will be on North American screens in April.

Anti-Paparazzi Driving Course

The star of The Simple Life made this suprising announcement in the British newspaper, Daily Mirror. 

Hilton, who’s driving a Ferrari worth close to $400,000 US, mentioned that she took the driving course in Monaco last year.

She said, "I took lessons in Monaco with real racing cars. I love fast cars."

The 24 year-old star also revealed that she uses what she’s learned in the streets of Los Angeles.  She insists, however, that she does it late at night.

She said: "I’ve driven on the streets at 140 miles an hour when no one’s around.  I’ve never had an accident."

Pierce Brosnan To Open Restaurant

The former James Bond is not impressed with the quality of the food in Los Angeles, and has decided to go into the restaurant business himself. 

The star thinks that spicier Indian food than what can already be found in California, could be a great alternative to American food.

An insider says, "He’s shopping around for a chef. He’s gone all the way to Mumbai, India to find one. He thinks it’s time that LA had some quality Indian food.  And Pierce likes it hot!"

The Jackson Trial: A First Witness

It was his documentary, Living With Michael Jackson, shown on television in February, 2003, the prompted the investigation of the relationship of the singer and the young boy.

In the documentary, we see the singer holding hands with his now accuser.  The star also stated that he sometimes sleeps in the same bed with children at his Neverland Ranch.

The jurors watched the documentary which was filmed in 2002, by the request of the plaintiff’s attorneys.  While watching the film, Jackson wiped his eyes with a tissue when seeing footage of him telling of his love for children.

Afterwards, Jackson’s lawyer, Thomas Mesereau Jr. tried to find out how many hours of film were shot to create the documentary.  The journalist used his First Amendment rights to avoid answering any questions.  Bashir refused to answer questions nearly 30 times.

The singer seemed to be agitated when the journalist was on the stand.

Jackson, 46, has plead not-guilty to accusations that he sexually molested a minor.  The trial for the star is expected to last several more months.
