BIGThe two stars of American cinema, who were very successful with The Aviator and Gangs of New York, are presently discussing a remake of the 1948 Japanese film.
In its original version, the film tells of a young gangster and an alcoholic doctor that live in a somber village in Japan after the war.
This new project may be in addition to the movie The Departed, that they will begin filming in April. Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson will also be part of this movie.
Thursday evening the Brit Awards ceremony took place. It honoured musical artists from England.
Robbie Williams and his song Angels beat many other great songs from the last 25 years such as Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division), Wuthering Heights (Kate Bush), We Are the Champions (Queen) and Leave Right Now (Will Young).
Amongst the other winners of the evening was Joss Stone, that won the award for Best British Song and Best Urban Performance.
The trio Keane won two awards, one of which was for best album Hopes and Fears.

The civil ceremony will be held on April 8 at the Windsor castle.
In an official memo, the Prince of Wales stated, "Mrs Parker Bowles and I are absolutely delighted. It will be a very special day for us and our families."

On February 7 Lucas filmed the last couple of scenes for his next Star Wars at the British Studios of Estree.
This same studio had also accomodated Lucas in 1977 for the filming of the first Star Wars saga: Episode IV – A New Hope.

American singer Beyoncé will be doing a duo with Josh Groban. They will do the song Believe, which is up for an award. The song is on the sound track for the movie The Polar Express, starring Tom Hanks.
Well known actress, but new singer, Minnie Driver, who just released her first album last October, will be doing the song Learn to Be Lonely, taken from the album Everything I’ve Got in My Pocket.
Other performances include one by the group Counting Crows doing the song Accidently in Love from Shrek 2.
Other songs that are nominated for the award Best Original Song for Film will also be performed. We will also be hearing Otro Lado Del Rio from the movie The Motorcycle Diaries and Vois sur ton chemin from the movie Les Choristes.
The Oscars will be held on February 27.

According to the petition filed at the Supreme Court of Manhatten, Britney Touring Inc., the star’s company, has demanded 9.8 million dollars for the losses incurred as a result of the cancellation of the Onyx Hotel Tour.

Spears company alleges having paid 1.3 million to these insurance companies in order to be protected should a situation happen in Canada, U.S and Europe.
According to the court documents, seven insurance companies, all British, have all refused payment. The eighth company is French, and has not yet responded.
