Miley Cyrus Makes a Confession

The 15-year-old teen revealed parts of her private life in the September edition of Seventeen magazine.

The star explains, "We became boyfriend and girlfriend the day we met. He was on a quest to meet me, and he was like, ‘I think you’re beautiful and I really like you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I like you so much.’"

The two singers have never outright stated that they were dating, but merely said that they were only good friends.

"Nick and I loved each other," Cyrus is saying now. "For two years he was basically my 24/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn’t fun."

The couple broke up at the end of 2007.

The Hannah Montana star is now single and seems to be doing well. "Since [the breakup], I’ve realized that I’ve met so many great guys, but I like being the girl nobody can have," she said.

A Mediterranean Vacation for George Clooney

George Clooney spent his summer holiday on a yacht in the Mediterranean Sea with supermodel Cindy Crawford and her family.

The Ocean’s Thirteen star is a close friend of Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber.  Clooney has invited the couple and their two children, Presley, 8, and Kaia, 6, to sail in the sun for the past two summers.  

According to People magazine, Clooney also hosted guests last weekend for a barbeque, including U2 singer Bono.

Clooney is stil relaxing before returning to work at the end of this month.  He will be attending the Venice Film Festival with Brad Pitt to promote their film Burn After Reading, from the Coen brothers.  The film opens in theatres on September 12.

Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Looks Like Daddy

Yesterday, during an interview with an Australian radio station, Kidman said that little Sunday Rose resembles her dad, singer Keith Urban.

She described, "She looks like Keith.  She’s got a little bit of hair. … It has a bit of a reddish tinge."

The little family arrived in Australia early this week. For 1-month-old Sunday Rose, this was the first trip visiting her mother’s country. It was also her first time to meet Grandpa Kidman.

The actress explained, "My mum was there with me for the birth but my dad hasn’t met her and Keith’s mum and dad are coming down."

A Royal Premier for Quantum of Solace

The 22nd film of the adventures of Agent 007, starring Daniel Craig, will premier on October 29 in London.

Prince William and Prince Harry will attend the event to raise money for the British Armed Forces.  The film’s producers are thrilled to have Prince Charles’ and the late Princess Diana’s sons on the guest list for the evening.  Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli explained, "We are pleased this event will help raise much needed funds to support the servicemen of our country through the princes’ chosen charities."

In the new film, James Bond will find himself grappling with a criminal organisation run by Dominic Greene, a villain determined to get his hands on the world’s natural resources.

Oasis Announces a Private Show

The band will be rehearsing material from their upcoming album, Dig Out Your Soul, to be released in October.

Fans who were members of the band’s official website were invited to enter a draw to win the opportunity to attend the rehearsal.  Lucky winners will get to go behind-the-scenes with the band from Manchester, as they prepare for their world tour later this year.  The rehearsal session will take place on August 14.

Oasis’ seventh album, Dig Out Your Soul, will be released on October 6.  The first single, Shock of the Lightning, will be released on September 29.

Sarah Brightman to Play at Olympic Games

The organisers of the Olympic Games in Beijing have announced that British singer Sarah Brightman will perform for the opening ceremonies, along with Chinese singer Liu Huan.  The two will perform the official song of the 2008 Olympics.

This will be the second time for Brightman, 47, to perform at the Olympics.  She sang Friends for Life with Jose Carreras for the 1992 Games in Barcelona.

Brightman has been very busy lately.  After taking the stage in Beijing, she will begin a North American tour to promote her recent album, Symphony.

James Doohan’s Ashes Exploded

The ashes of James Doohan, who played the role of Montgomery Scott or "Scotty" in the Star Trek series and films, were lost.

The Canadian actor wanted his ashes to be sent into orbit around the earth by a company that provides these types of services. Unfortunately, the Falcon 1 rocket exploded a few minutes before takeoff.

This was the second attempt to send Doohan’s ashes into space. The actor, who died in 2005 from Alzheimer’s disease and pneumonia, expressed his wishes, just like 208 other people who wanted the same thing.

Doohan played the chief engineer on board the Enterprise in the cult television series Star Trek.

Scarlett Johansson Is Pleased to Marry a Canadian

The 23-year-old actress, who announced her engagement last May, was very enthusiastic yesterday during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada.

The Vicky Cristina Barcelona star expressed, "I’m very excited," and added, "I’ve had wonderful times in Canada. It’s a lovely country. It’s a beautiful country and hopefully I’ll be able to get through immigration faster now!"

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have been dating for over a year.

Johansson previously dated Josh Hartnett, while Reynolds had a longtime romance with singer Alanis Morissette.

Paris Hilton Strikes Back at John McCain

A few days ago, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears were shown in an ad put together by Republican John McCain without their permission.  The ad was attacking McCain’s opponent, Barack Obama.

Hilton, 27, didn’t pass on her chance to get even with McCain, and posted her own public message on the Internet.

In the video, Hilton is shown sitting outside in a leopard-print bikini.  She thanks McCain for his obvious endorsement of her before taking her first shot, by saying, "I’m not from the olden days, and I’m not promising change like that other guy, I’m just hot."

"But then that wrinkly white haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I’m running for president, so thanks for the endorsement white haired dude, and I want America to know, that I’m like, totally ready to lead."

Marriage Rumours for Lindsay Lohan

According to the New Zealand Herald, the Mean Girls star wants to exchange wedding vows with Samantha Ronson at a private ceremony in Los Angeles later this year.

The paper added that Lohan’s mother, Dina, gave the two her blessing, and is helping to make arrangements for the event in November.

A source revealed, "They’ve been keeping the relationship quiet for months and trying to pass each other off as ‘just good friends.’  But they’ve decided it isn’t a fling, it’s for life – so they want to make their romance public. Dina is still working on the date of the party but it’s looking like towards the end of the year."

Last May, California courts gave same-sex couples the right to wed.  The western state is the second in the United States to allow gay marriages.  The first state was Massachusetts.
