Belkin’s new 3-in-1 charger is the first third-party fast charger designed for the Apple Watch Series 7.

The BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad features MagSafe 15W charging speeds for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 and of course, fast charging for the Series 7. Apple says that the Series 7 can go from roughly 0-80 percent in 45 minutes with fast charging.

Alongside the 3-in-1 charger, the accessory maker revealed a standalone fast charger for the Apple Watch Series 7 that includes a USB-C cable.

Canadian-made Lego Star Wars: Castaways launches on Apple Arcade

Lego Star Wars: Castaways launches on November 19th exclusively on Apple Arcade.

The title is an online social adventure game set in the Lego Star Wars universe, and it’s developed by Gameloft, a developer with studios in Toronto and Montreal. In Castaways, players customize their Lego Minifig and interact with other players as they explore a new tropical planet.

Once you start exploring, you’ll delve into its mysterious plot, uncover collectibles and encounter enemies to battle. At the outset, this seems like a pretty ambitious Lego/Star Wars title, but it will be interesting to see if it attracts attention during busy holiday game release season.

Lego Star Wars: Castaways can be played on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac, allowing all Apple device users to partake in the fun, as long as they subscribe to Apple Arcade ($5 per month).

You can now pre-order the Pixel Stand 2nd-gen in Canada

Google unveiled the Pixel Stand 2nd-generation on October 19th, but it hasn’t been available to order in Canada until now.

The 2nd-gen Pixel Stand can now be pre-ordered with shipping listed as December 14th. It’s unclear if this is the Pixel Stand’s official release date.

This Pixel Stand costs $109 and offers 30W of charging if your smartphone is capable of that charging speed. It’s worth noting that the Pixel 6 only features 21W charging and that the Pixel 6 Pro offers 23W charging, so you won’t be able to get the full 30W charging speeds if you own one of Google’s new flagship smartphones.

Google says the stand (2nd-gen) is made of approximately 39 percent recycled materials. Similar to the previous Pixel Stand, when you place your Pixel 6 device on the charger, it turns the smartphone into a Google Home-like device, allowing you to say ‘Hey Google’ to activate Nest Cams, adjust the temperature and more.

You can pre-order the Pixel Stand 2nd-gen, here.

Telus now offers the fastest 5G network in Dawson Creek and Drumheller, B.C.

The expansions in the British Columbia and Alberta municipalities are part of larger investments the company is making through 2024.

The expansion in Dawson Creek is part of $13 billion in infrastructure and operations funding going towards BC. The expansion in Drumheller is part of a larger $14.5 million investment allocated to Alberta.

The initiative is part of the companies goal to give 70 percent of Canada’s population access to its 5G network. Currently, 67 percent of Canadians have access.

“Indeed, the ongoing expansion of our next-generation 5G technology is bridging time and distance, allowing residents to live and work in any community without compromising productivity or economic opportunity,” president and CEO, Darren Entwistle, said in a press release.

The company is working with a number of vendors, including Samsung, Ericsson, and Nokia, to expand its network across the country. By the end of the year, 615 communities will have access to the 5G network, including an additional 135 communities in Alberta and 187 in British Columbia.

The company explains some of the benefits of this network over 4G are increased capacity, ultra-low latency and edge computing. These advancements help power enhanced health and education opportunities. Estimates show 5G will lead to the creation of 250,000 jobs and put $150 million towards the economy over the next two decades.

Halo Infinite campaign co-op and Forge Mode release delayed even further

If you’re like me and have played through nearly every Halo campaign co-operatively with friends, you’re about to be disappointed.

Halo Infinite‘s co-op campaign mode won’t release until May 2022 at the earliest, and Forge’s release has been pushed even further back.

In an interview with Eurogamer, 343 Industries’ head of creative Joseph Staten says that the extension of Season 1 of multiplayer to six months instead of three has resulted in the delay of both campaign co-op and Forge.

Co-op and Forge were previously scheduled to release during Season 2 and Season 3, respectively. In the interview, Staten says that 343 Industries can’t commit to “any hard dates right now” regarding the features’ release.

Despite this latest delay, the response to Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer has been resoundingly positive so far. 343 Industries even moved quickly to respond to complaints surrounding slow progression with the game’s battle pass system. The beta version of Infinite‘s multiplayer is currently available ahead of the full game’s release on December 8th.

Halo Infinite is set to be available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. The game is also part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription platform.
