A Jack Russell stayed by his dead owner’s side for weeks

Rich Moore, 71, of Pagosa Springs, and his dog Finney hiked to the summit of Blackhead Peak (12,500 ft.) on August 19, but never returned home. The search for them was intensive, and teams spent nearly 2,000 man-hours scouring the wilderness, without success until a rather surprising recent discovery two months after their disappearance!

On October 30, a hunter found Moore’s body two and a half miles from the top of the mountain, in the Lower Blanco Drainage Basin with Finney, the Jack Russell, still alive but weakened, who had survived the harsh weather conditions, at his side.

According to Delinda Vann-Brightyn of the Taos Search and Rescue team, retrieving Moore and Finney was not easy due to the difficult terrain. A helicopter was used to drop the search team off on the steep terrain. Moore’s faithful dog accompanied him as he left the mountain.

After her rescue, Finney was taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment and examination, and was eventually reunited with her family. This surely brought them some comfort in the midst of their tragic loss.

Finney quickly won the hearts of many Internet users thanks to her courage and loyalty to her master. This moving story touched the hearts of pet lovers and wilderness enthusiasts alike, drawing attention to the deep bond between animal and master. It also reminds us of the dangers inherent in exploring nature.

Colorado Missing Person Organization

Although the Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office and other investigating authorities have yet to determine the cause of Moore’s death, it is unlikely that foul play was involved. The incident has sparked debate about mountain safety and preparedness, as reports suggest that Moore was not sufficiently prepared when he arrived at his destination.

Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon at war over Britney Spears book!

Hollywood is reportedly very interested in a big-screen adaptation of pop singer Britney Spears’ memoir The Woman In Me, which sold 1.1 million copies in its first week on sale in the US market. The singer’s memoir has attracted the attention of many top actors and producers, keen to adapt the story for a film or TV series.

Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Productions, Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine are all said to be interested in the production rights, leading to a bidding war to see which of these three companies, well known not only for the quality of their productions, but also for their interest in stories featuring women, would get their hands on the valuable production rights.

There were rumors that Shonda Rhimes’ company, Shondaland Productions, would also be interested in the project, since Rhimes wrote the script for Spears’ previous film, Crossroads, in 2002, but a spokesperson reportedly clarified this to Page Six, stating that Rhimes would not be involved in the project after all.

Britney Spears’ highly personal memoir, The Woman In Me, has become a bestseller since its publication last month. Britney is said to have been overwhelmed by the response to her book. Audiences and critics alike have praised her book, which details her rise to fame and personal struggles, as well as her controversial 13-year guardianship, which ended in 2021.

Indeed, sales figures indicate that it will become one of the most popular celebrity memoirs of all time.

It’s not just the possible screen adaptations that are resonating in the industry. Since the book’s release, Spears has seen a marked increase in sales and streams. Data shows that sales and streams of her album in the U.S. have increased by 61% and 24% respectively. This testifies to the sustained fervor around the singer and her story.

The Woman in Me, published in numerous languages, is also a global success. Sales are strong in all parts of the world.

The singer’s fans eagerly await the next chapter in the Britney saga as negotiations take place behind the scenes.

The adaptation process is still in its early stages, and despite the stakes and excitement, Britney Spears has reportedly postponed several of her meetings with producers to allow her book to be released.
