Orientalys Festival unveils program for 13th edition

From August 10 to 13, 2023, the Orientalys Festival will occur at Quai de l’Horloge in the Old Port of Montreal.

The Festival, which celebrates the richness of Oriental culture, will feature a number of artistic performances, fun workshops and

Renowned groups from Europe, North Africa and Asia will perform at the event: Duoud, The Greys Stars, Ishtar Connection, Hakim Salhi, IIhan Karabacak and many more!

You’re invited to come and meet Canadian and international artisans and creators through the beautiful traditions of the Orient.

“Events like the Orientalys Festival help bring people together through cultural and artistic initiatives to discover the vibrancy and diversity of our communities (…) we’re proud to enable everyone to connect through music and dance because we know that artists play an essential role in shaping communities. Tittle Tattle, a new cocktail bar in Montreal

For the past few days, the Old Port of Montreal has offered cocktail lovers a new destination: Tittle Tattle.

The owners of this new bar are Ariel Goldstein and Loyd Von Rose of Drink Masters, broadcast on Netflix.

The new address’s recipe is to offer fresh ingredients, quality spirits and innovative techniques to create beverages as beautiful as they are delicious.

The names of the drinks are also interesting, such as Orgueil, Avarice, Jalousie, Colère or Paresse.

A special Home Alone concert in Montreal for Christmas!

Montreal welcomes the Beach Pro Tour at the SMASH! Festival

From July 26 to 30, the SMASH Festival at Parc Jean-Drapeau will host the Beach Pro Tour, a stage in the Elite 16 beach volleyball world series.

This is indeed the first Beach Pro Tour and the only Elite 16 event in Canada!

“We’re thrilled to include Montreal as a stop on the Beach Pro Tour. Montreal is the ideal place to bring together volleyball enthusiasts, including passionate and committed fans from Quebec and Canada. Disney says goodbye to its Star Wars hotel

Just two years after its opening, Walt Disney’s Star Wars luxury hotel will be closing.

Indeed, according to the New York Post, Disney is bidding farewell to its Star Wars hotel and has reportedly not explained why the forward-thinking hotel will have to close.

However, Star Wars and Disney fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the hotel’s very expensive room rates.

Disney, on the other hand, presents this project as an experiment in creativity that has never been seen before and that could certainly inspire projects on a larger scale in the future.

In short, we can only hope that other Disney hotels will not suffer the same fate in the coming years!

The magic of the Impressionists comes to Quebec City

The exhibition “The Magic of the Impressionists” has been a great success in Montreal in the last few months, so it will soon move to Quebec City.

The exhibition will be held on the first floor of the Espace Quatre Cents, in the old port of Quebec, from June 7, 2023.

This event will present impressionist works and invite the public to travel through their paintings with the help of exclusive 3D technology.

People will be drawn into the history of the greatest Impressionist masterpieces and will be able to “see the world through the eyes of the painters, sit with the guests in Renoir’s Déjeuner des canotiers, dance with Degas’s ballerinas, or take flight in Van Gogh’s La nuit étoilée.

Soundtracks will also be mixed with the visual content to offer a most captivating experience!

More than 100 impressionist works are waiting to be admired by the general public.

The Montreal Comiccon adds two new headliners!

Montreal Comiccon returns for its 13th edition and announces that Michael Biehn and Lance Henriksen will also be part of it!

Indeed, the Montreal Comiccon, which will take place from July 14th to 16th at the Palais des congrès, will welcome the famous actors of Terminator and Aliens!

Let’s remind you that many other famous personalities will be on site during this event which will gather many enthusiasts such as the fabulous Christina Ricci (Wednesday, Yellowjackets, etc.) as well as the actors of the unforgettable series Smallville, Laura Vandervoort, Kristin Kreuk, Erica Durance, Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling!
