Rolex is on a roll!

The world of high-end watchmaking is not often known for its extravagance. The prestigious brand Rolex is stepping out of the box and proving that it can also offer refreshing products from time to time.

The Swiss brand has just released its new 2023 models.

Among these new products, there are six original models of one of the classics, the Rolex Day-Dates. The new collection is bursting with bright colors.

The first colorful dial incorporates a puzzle pattern in champlevé enamel. This eye-catching dial can be ordered with a yellow gold, white gold and Everose bracelet. The watch displays inspirational keywords at 12 o’clock. You could read the words “Happy”, “Eternity”, “Gratitude”, “Peace”, “Faith”, “Love” and “Hope”. Instead of the traditional date at 3 o’clock, 31 emojis (!!!) can be seen.

The watch is adorned with 10 baguette-cut sapphires in six different shades and a classic fluted bezel.

Rolex

For more conservative customers, three new stone dials are available in carnelian (yellow gold), turquoise (platinum) and green aventurine (Everose gold). These new dials continue a long heritage at Rolex, dating back to the 1970s.

Turquoise has been frequently used in a yellow gold configuration. Carnelian, with a warm orange hue, has also been used historically, as has green aventurine, which has a finely crystallized surface.

These new Day-Dates are all guaranteed to be water resistant to a depth of 100 meters.

Rolex

TheOyster Perpetual has always been the model where Rolex seems to indulge in color and design. The same is true for the 2023. The new version of the OP comes with multicolored bubbles that bounce off the bottom of the dial.

Rolex

If you liked the turquoise, coral, mustard yellow, and forest green that Rolex used for fan-favorite OPs a few years ago, you’re in luck. Rolex just put all of these bright shades on the same dial.

Rolex didn’t skimp on the color this year. Even though the Swiss brand is letting go of its crazy, it continues to offer unparalleled precision. In 2023, it’s introducing a new movement inside, which Rolex promises is even more technically proficient than its predecessor.

Tim Hortons still refuses to pay for $10,000 lots deemed “technical errors”

Last week, Tim Hortons raised the frustration of its customers due to a serious error with its “roll down the rim” cups as false prizes were advertised, including $10,000 prizes.

Several customers were scorned after winning $10,000 from American Express, but after screaming with joy, they were outraged when they suddenly saw a blank screen and after a few seconds, the $10,000 had become… a free entry!

This is notably the case of Quebecers, including a few Beaucerons, reported COOL FM, but also throughout Canada, including a well-publicized case in New Brunswick, reported by L’Acadie Nouvelle.

Obviously, to make up for it, Tim Hortons sent a message to some people indicating that a “technical error” had occurred and that this explained the misunderstanding.

A $10,000 misunderstanding is enough to make you frustrated!

Some of the customers affected by the mispricing found it unacceptable that Tim Hortons did not take responsibility for their mistake… the $50 gift card as compensation did not make anyone happy.

One customer, who won the fake $10,000, even walked into a Tim Hortons and had the manager confirm that he had really won, and even congratulated him!

Customers could also sue Tim Hortons for this mistake…

Where does Tim Hortons go from here?
