Ensuring that students in every school in the country have access to an AI education
Microsoft has announced a significant investment of over $4 billion in the form of artificial intelligence services and cloud computing credits to support large-scale AI education.
Microsoft plans to give more than $4 billion in cash and technology services to train millions of people to use A.I., amid an intensifying Silicon Valley crusade to embed chatbots into classrooms.
According to the New York Times, the company’s president, Brad Smith, said these resources will be targeted towards schools, community colleges, technical institutes and non-profits.

A few days after the President of the United States downplayed the violation of Polish airspace on September 10 as a “mistake”, a new episode has occurred.
This time, a Russian drone flew over Romanian airspace for almost an hour.
Romania reported that a Russian drone had flown through its airspace on Saturday. The incident came days after Russian drones entered Poland’s airspace.
The second incident took place in Romanian airspace on September 14. Two F-16s followed the aircraft closely for a total of 50 minutes, according to the authorities.
Russian attack in Ukraine
According to the Ministry of Defense, these fighters were monitoring a Russian attack in Ukraine and were able to track the drone as it crossed the southern border into Romania.

On the night of September 10, a fleet of 19 to 23 Russian drones penetrated Polish airspace, some as far as 300 km inside the country. An interception was launched, several drones were shot down, and Prime Minister Donald Tusk claimed they posed a direct threat.

Questioned by journalists, Donald Trump reacted by saying that the incursion could be “a mistake”, while adding that he was not satisfied with the situation.
REPORTER: What's your reaction to Russia's drone incursion into Poland?
This prompted a reaction from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk:
“We also wish the drone attack against Poland was a mistake. But it isn’t. And we know that.”

NATO’s reaction
Following this deliberate violation of NATO airspace, the alliance reacted swiftly. It announced the launch of Operation Eastern Sentry, designed to reinforce air defense on its eastern flank.
While the royal family rolled out the red carpet for him in all its forms, it was his reaction to meeting Kate Middleton, who welcomed him alongside Prince William, that attracted all the attention.

A historic second state visit
Accompanied by his wife Melania in a rare public appearance, Donald Trump makes a historic two-day state visit.

The invitation, delivered in person by the British Prime Minister on behalf of the King, had been described as “really special” and “unprecedented”.
As soon as he stepped out of the helicopter, Trump greeted Prince William and then complimented Kate Middleton, remarks that were immediately described as awkward, and which provoked massive reactions on social networks.

Shaking hands with her, Trump reportedly quipped to the Princess of Wales:
“You’re beautiful, so beautiful.”
A central role
During this historic state visit, Kate Middleton played a central role alongside the royal family. She welcomed Donald and Melania Trump as they arrived in Windsor, alongside Prince William, before taking part in the carriage procession and official ceremonies.
Kate Middleton is also due to share an official moment with Melania Trump as part of the state visit.
Their joint appearance is scheduled at Frogmore Gardens, at an event with the Scouts and the “Squirrels” program.

The event, part of the visit’s program, will highlight education and community involvement, and will be one of the rare occasions when the Princess of Wales and the First Lady of the United States will appear side by side in a public setting.
A grand welcome
After the high-profile trade with Kate Middleton, Donald Trump was welcomed to Windsor by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, accompanied by Prince William.

A solemn ceremony followed: royal salute, inspection of the guard, then a carriage ride around the estate. The President and First Lady Melania took part in an exhibition of the Royal Collection in the Green Drawing Room, then made their way to St. George’s Chapel to lay a wreath on the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II.
The first day ended with an official luncheon, diplomatic talks and a state banquet in the evening. But the atmosphere remained tense due to another highlight: the unfurling of a huge banner depicting Trump alongside Epstein near the castle, as well as projections of images on the walls of Windsor itself, recalling their controversial links.

These spectacular actions led to the arrest of four people.

Israel carried out a series of surprise air strikes in Doha, the capital of Qatar, claiming to be targeting senior Hamas officials.
Israel launched a series of strikes targeting Hamas' leadership in the Qatari capital, in an unprecedented attack inside the territory of an important US ally and key mediator in the Gaza ceasefire talks. Here is what to know: https://cnn.it/4nh6ete
US President Donald Trump said he was “very unhappy” with the operation, which he claimed he was briefly informed about before it took place.
He said he was surprised by an attack carried out on territory he considers an ally.

The unprecedented operation in Doha, Qatar, a key mediator in Gaza ceasefire talks, took place as negotiators considered a recent truce proposal backed by Donald Trump, according to CNN.
Six people were killed, including a Qatari security guard, but Hamas leadership claimed to have survived the attack.

Although Israel thought it had hit its targets, Hamas claimed that the strike had failed to eliminate its members in charge of the ceasefire talks. Among them was one of the main targets of the forward: Hamas chief negotiator Khalil Al-Hayya.

Donald Trump reacted to the surprise attack in Qatar by saying he was “not thrilled about the whole situation” and felt “very unhappy about every aspect”. This statement comes as Qatar has described the Israeli offensive as a “violation” of international law.
Donald Trump has already been in the news for his close relationship with Qatar, notably when he agreed to receive a Boeing 747-8 initially valued at around $400 million, offered as a gift, an operation deemed highly controversial.

He planned to use the plane as Air Force One until the end of his mandate, before transferring it to his presidential foundation or library.
Vladimir Putin recently violated NATO airspace when he spotted a group of 19 drones over Poland, while Russia was carrying out an attack against Ukraine.
Breaking News: Poland said it had shot down Russian drones that entered its airspace during strikes on Ukraine, calling the incursions an “act of aggression.”
The Polish army was forced to shoot down the drones, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk called Russia’s actions a “large-scale provocation” against NATO territory.

According to the New York Times, Donald Tusk underscored the seriousness of Russia’s move by declaring:
“The situation is serious.”

Tusk added that NATO had to prepare for all scenarios, recalling that this was the first incursion into Alliance territory since the war in Ukraine began in 2022:
“No one doubts that we must prepare for various scenarios.”
The Polish Prime Minister said the incident placed the country “closest we have been to open conflict”.

Tusk clarified, however, that there was no reason to say Poland was “on the brink of war”, adding nonetheless:
Mike Johnson, a Republican representing Louisiana and the Speaker of the House, backtracked on his bold statement claiming that Donald Trump appeared in the Epstein files because he would have been an “informant for the FBI” in the case.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) backed off his claim that President Trump was an FBI informant in the case of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
While appearing before the media on Capitol Hill, Mike Johnson asserted that Donald Trump would have been “an informant for the FBI in trying to bring down [Epstein]”, implying by his propositions that Trump had cooperated with the FBI, taking an active role in the investigation against Epstein.
These statements relayed certain conspiracy theories about Trump’s past with Epstein, particularly around the period when they parted ways. According to these theories, Trump stayed close to Epstein in order to gather information with the aim of bringing him down.

A few days later, a memo from Johnson’s office corrected his statements, denying that he had claimed Trump was an FBI informant.
The document clarified that the Speaker of the House was in fact merely echoing the words of victims’ attorney Brad Edwards, that Trump had been the only one, more than a decade ago, to agree to help prosecutors against Epstein.

This confusion only heightens questions about why Trump and his administration are suddenly opposed to the release of all files related to Jeffrey Epstein, when they have spent years campaigning among their supporters for the Epstein files to be posted.
Donald Trump, addressing the Religious Liberty Commission, made some strange and shocking remarks about the recent drop in crime in Washington D.C., which he attributed to the presence of the military.
President Donald Trump downplayed domestic violence in a Monday speech as part of his White House Religious Liberty Commission — and was hit by swift condemnation.
He claimed that crime was not just down 87%, but much more, explaining that even a “little fight with the wife” is counted as crimes and prevented him from posting a perfect 100% rate.
During his speech, Trump, seeking to pat himself on the back for sending troops to what he described as among the “worst, most violent cities” in Washington D.C., claimed that crime had fallen far more than the 87% officially reported, declaring that it was “more than 87%”.
Getty Images
Trump explained that crime statistics also included “thingsthattake place in the home, they call crime,” evoking, for example, “If a man has a littlefightwith the wife, theysay, thiswas a crime.”
Trump thus continued to relegate domestic violence to “much lesser things” and regretted that this prevented him from claiming a 100% drop in crime in Washington D.C., declaring, “So now I can’t claim 100%.”

The president’s statements, echoed by several media outlets, quickly sparked a wave of outrage, while this kind of downplaying of domestic violence is proving not only dangerous, but a serious step backwards.
In an address to the nation broadcast live from the Oval Office, President Trump reacted to the murder of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, shot dead at an event on a Utah campus just hours earlier.
President Trump said Wednesday that rhetoric from the “radical left” contributed to the shooting death of his close ally Charlie Kirk, and he promised to find those responsible for political violence, as well as the “organizations that fund it and support it.”
Describing the act, in his words and rightly so, as “a dark moment for America”, Donald Trump went on to accuse the “radical left” of fueling a climate of violence by “demonizing those with whom you disagree with”.
Getty Images
“It’s high time all Americans and the media realized that violence and murder are the tragic consequence of demonizing those with whom you disagree.”
He cited as examples the assassination attempt against him and the forwards against ICE agents, while himself embodying, according to several observers, the polarization he claims to denounce:
“It’s long past time for all Americans and the media to confront the fact that violence and murder are the tragic consequence of demonizing those with whom you disagree day after day, year after year, in the most hateful and despicable way possible.”
Getty Images
Once again refusing to acknowledge that political violence affects both sides, Trump cites as examples attacks on himself and his own party, which he attributes to the “radical left”.
“From the attack on my life in Butler, Pennsylvania last year, which killed a husband and father, to the attacks on ICE agents, to the vicious murder of a healthcare executive in the streets of New York, to the shooting of House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and three others, radical left political violence has hurt too many innocent people and taken too many lives.”

Violence on both sides
Yet the president seems oblivious to the attacks suffered by the other side.
In 2018, several Democratic figures, including Obama, Clinton, Biden and Harris, were targeted by package bombs sent by a radicalized Trump supporter.
Since 2020, several Democratic figures have also been targeted by individuals driven by strong political polarization:
Gretchen Whitmer was the target of a kidnapping plot in 2020, Paul Pelosi was violently attacked with a hammer at his home in 2022, Angie Craig was attacked in her apartment building in 2023, Melissa Hortman was killed with her husband in a shootout targeting several Democratic elected officials in 2025, and Josh Shapiro survived an arson attack set at his official residence while sleeping there with his family that same year.

“For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals,” Trump adds.
The president concludes by promising that his administration will hunt down the guilty:
“My Administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials, and everyone else who brings order to our country.”

Charlie Kirk, influential right-wing media personality and founder of Turning Point USA, was answering a question about shootings in the U.S., particularly transgender shooters, just before he was shot, according to multiple sources.

According to several media outlets, including CNN and the New York Times, Charlie Kirk was answering a question about mass shootings involving transgender people in the minutes before he was murdered.
Mass shootings
According to CNN, a member of the audience asked him:
“Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters in the last 10 years?”
To which Kirk reportedly replied:
“Too many.”

The person then allegedly asked him if he knew the total number of mass shootings counted in the U.S. over the past ten years.
As Kirk asked if criminal gang violence should be included in the calculation, he was shot seconds later, according to several witnesses and videos of the scene posted online.

The question echoed Kirk’s recent controversial remarks after a shooting by a transgender woman at Annunciation Catholic Church, which killed 2 children and injured 21.
“Violent terrorists”
Kirk said at the time, “The trans movement is radicalizing the mentally ill into becoming violent terrorists who target children for murder.”
The FBI has released photos of a “person of interest” in connection with the investigation into Charlie Kirk’s shooter.
The manhunt for the shooter is still underway, as new details emerge about the circumstances and identity of the alleged perpetrator of Charlie Kirk’s murder.
In particular, the FBI has released a photo of a person of interest.

Various sources, including the Wall Street Journal, also report that the weapon used was allegedly found in a wooded area near the university campus, and that ammunition engraved with words related to the transgender community and anti-fascist ideology may have been discovered at the crime scene.
Trump and his entourage have multiplied their reactions following the revelation, by the Oversight Committee, of the famous birthday letter sent by Epstein’s estate following a subpoena.
The message, attributed to Trump, had been sent to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003.
President Donald Trump refused to address a birthday note that he reportedly wrote to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after House Democrats released it.
Donald Trump, who had repeatedly denied the existence of a birthday message mentioned by the Wall Street Journal, where he referred to “a wonderful secret” with Epstein and added a drawing depicting a naked woman, assured that he did not draw and had never sent such a note.

Questioned by NBC News after the official post confirming the document’s authenticity, Trump simply said he had no comment on the matter:
“I don’t comment on something that’s a dead issue.”

Trump then declared:
“I gave all comments to the staff,” while White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt denied it was his signature on the letter and drawing, signed simply “Donald”, saying:
“It’s very clear that President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.”

Following the post on his father’s birthday message to Epstein, Eric Trump for his part said in an interview on Newsmax:
“My father does not sketch out cartoon drawings.”

JD Vance also reacted, on X…
The Democrats don't care about Epstein. They don’t even care about his victims. That's why they were silent about it for years. The only thing they care about is concocting another fake scandal like Russiagate to smear President Trump with lies.

Some Republicans also reacted publicly to the letter.
Florida Representative Byron Donalds and Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett have both questioned the authenticity of the signature, while several media outlets point out that Trump has, on various occasions over the years, signed only with his first name.
