The announcement of Donald Trump’s victory had an impact on certain stock market values: shares in DJT, Tesla and Bitcoin rose after the election results, benefiting Trump, Elon Musk and Bitcoin.

DJT shares, representing Donald Trump’s company, have seen a series of ups and downs in recent months.
However, Trump’s surprise victory seems to have had a positive impact, contributing to a recovery in its share price.
Getty Images
Indeed, DJT shares had fallen to $30.02 on November 4, just before the election, but jumped to $44.35 the day after the results, before falling back slightly thereafter.

For Tesla and Elon Musk, now one of Donald Trump’s most powerful allies in his victory, Tesla’s share value was at its lowest on November 4, at $243.52.
However, the day after the election on November 6, it rose significantly, peaking at $284.55, before falling back slightly.

Finally, investors in Bitcoin, which Trump has suggested in recent months could be used to finance the US government’s multi-billion debts, probably viewed Trump’s victory positively, as the value of Bitcoin also rose. On November 4, it was at $68,346, and the day after the election, it had climbed to $74,552.

The unexpected outcome of the election gave a boost to DJT, Tesla and Bitcoin shares.
It remains to be seen how the coming months will evolve with Trump’s imminent installation in the White House for a second term.
Election Day has finally arrived in the United States, and the suspense is obviously at its height on November 5. The two candidates, with completely opposite visions of America, have withdrawn to different parts of the country after a particularly intense campaign blitz.

While the final week of the campaign was difficult for Trump, he chose to retreat to Mar-a-Lago in Florida to await the results. There, he cast his vote on the morning of November 5, in the company of Melania Trump, who had been largely absent throughout this election campaign.

Kamala Harris ended her final campaign night on a high note, with several simultaneous rallies in different cities, drawing large crowds. In Las Vegas, Nevada, singer Christina Aguilera performed “Feel This Moment”, “Beautiful” and “Fighter”, while in Detroit, Jon Bon Jovi joined Tim Walz’s rally, where he sang “The People’s House” and “Livin’ on a Prayer”.

Katy Perry was in Pittsburgh, where she performed her songs “Dark Horse”, “Part of Me” and “Firework”, after Kamala Harris’s speech. The latter then flew to the main rally in Philadelphia, where several celebrities were present.

A tumultuous end to Trump’s campaign, as he struggles to fill his rallies
Donald Trump has had a particularly tumultuous end to his campaign, concluding his run for the presidency amid controversy, particularly after his rally at Madison Square Garden. Struggling to fill his final rallies in several key states, he seemed to lack energy on stage and sometimes lost patience with technical problems, such as difficulties with microphones, causing him to adopt rather erratic gestures.

He ended the last night of his campaign in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a better way, alongside Megyn Kelly, who explained that his positions on immigration and transgender rights were reasons to vote for Trump, whom she saw as a defender of women.

Three of Donald Trump’s children were present at the latest rally: Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump.

What can we expect in the coming days?
So, what can we expect in the days ahead? Authorities are on high alert for any event that could disrupt the voting sites, although at the time of writing everything is going relatively smoothly. However, many fear that the vote count could be disrupted.
Getty Images
Donald Trump continues to repeat that if he loses, it will be because of voter fraud, while his campaign worries about the turnout of his supporters.
Many fear Trump will declare victory before all the votes are counted.

For their part, the authorities assure that all measures are being taken to ensure that the elections take place in a free and fair manner.
Kamala Harris is confident and satisfied with the turnout observed so far.
The next few days will certainly be eventful for Americans.
RFK Jr., who has been associated with Donald Trump’s electoral campaign for several weeks under the promise of holding an important position in his administration, was trying to have his name removed from the ballot in key states so as not to harm Trump’s chances of being elected.
His request was finally rejected by the Supreme Court.
BREAKING: Supreme Court rejects push to remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from ballot in two swing states https://t.co/XXBOvTZvry
The Supreme Court did indeed reject RFK Jr.’s request to be removed from the ballot in two key states, which was a desperate attempt on his part through an emergency appeal.
Getty Images
The states of Michigan and Wisconsin asserted that it would be impossible to remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s name at this stage of the election, given that early voting is already underway, just days before the election.
Indeed, at the time of this latest attempt to plead his case, 1.5 million people in Michigan had already returned their absentee ballots, while in Wisconsin, over 858,000 people had also returned their ballots.

Kennedy wanted the Supreme Court to accept that his presence on the ballot violated his First Amendment rights by falsely implying that he still wished to be elected president.
However, the Court ultimately rejected his arguments.
A large number of Washington Post employees and subscribers have expressed to Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon and now owner of the paper, their disagreement with his recent decision not to support the editorial section endorsement of Kamala Harris and not to endorse any candidate at all in the US presidential elections.
One-third of The Washington Post's editorial board steps down amid a wave of canceled subscriptions over non-endorsement in the 2024 US presidential election https://t.co/TCpvc6EUQP
According to CNN, a third of the Washington Post’s editorial staff resigned (!) due to Bezos’ controversial and sudden decision, announced just days before the election date.
Getty Images
We also learn that a wave of unsubscribes has also been seen among regular Washington Post readers, with around 200,000 people reported to have unsubscribed since the news was posted, according to CNN and NPR.

Jeff Bezos tried to explain his decision in an opinion piece in which he says he chose to remain neutral because, in his view, the media has lost credibility. He believes that this decision could help improve the credibility of the Washington Post.
However, it has also come to light that at the same time as the Washington Post’s controversial announcement, last Friday, executive members of Blue Origin, the US aerospace manufacturer founded by Bezos, had a meeting scheduled with Donald Trump.
While many Republicans, including the Cheneys, have come out against Donald Trump, George W. Bush has remained silent on a possible endorsement during the election, a silence that some say speaks volumes.
However, one member of the Bush family, his daughter Barbara, has broken the silence by declaring her support for Kamala Harris!

Jay Johnston, a comedic actor known for lending his voice to a character in the animated series Bob’s Burgers and having played supporting roles in Anchorman and Arrested Development, was sentenced to 12 months and 1 day in prison after pleading guilty to obstructing officers during the Capitol riots of January 6, 2021.

Johnston was arrested in June 2023, and according to prosecutors, the actor spent several minutes in one of the areas where the most intense violence of the police forward took place, in the lower west tunnel leading to the Capitol.
Getty Images
In this tunnel, he was reportedly part of a group of protesters who pushed and pinned police officer Daniel Hodges against a door frame, causing him breathing difficulties and leaving him with injuries.
Images of the incident were widely shared on social networks and television, where Hodges can be heard screaming in pain.

According to prosecutors, in addition to taking part in the attack on Officer Hodges, Johnston allegedly used a riot shield stolen from the Capitol Police to form a shield wall and helped rioters rinse out their eyes after being sprayed with pepper spray .
Getty Images
In the days following January 6, according to prosecutors, the actor sent text messages to friends and family, claiming that events at the Capitol had been “exaggerated by the media” and that it was a “trap” orchestrated by ANTIFA and the police.

In addition to his sentence of 12 months and one day in federal prison, he also suffered professional consequences.
Before he was finally arrested for his actions, he had already been fired from the animated series Bob’s Burgers.

Elon Musk, who became a major donor to Donald Trump’s election campaign, is being sued by the Philadelphia District Attorney in connection with his million-dollars lottery, days after receiving a letter from the DOJ warning him that he was probably breaking the law by using his lottery to induce voting.
Philadelphia's district attorney sues Elon Musk and his pro-Trump super PAC over controversial $1 million giveaway to registered voters https://t.co/xh0PNUig7N
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner asked a judge to order a halt to Elon Musk’s controversial lottery, which offered $1 million a day to a voter who signed a petition… but had to be registered to vote in key election states.
Getty Images
Krasner called the scheme an “illegal lottery” and filed a civil suit against the billionaire and his pro-Trump group, America PAC. In the complaint, he accuses Musk of using America PAC to entice voters in Philadelphia, the Commonwealth and other key states to divulge their personal information and make a political pledge in trade for the chance to win.
Getty Images
The Philadelphia District Attorney asserts that Pennsylvania law requires all lotteries to be “managed and administered by the state.”
Krasner asks judge to halt Musk’s daily million-dollar lottery, believing it operates outside established legal frameworks.
Getty Images
Musk set up the $1 million-a-day lottery for a randomly selected petition signatory from one of the seven key states where the election is expected to be held.
The problem for Musk lies in the fact that he’s offering this contest to people who sign a petition, but to be eligible, participants must be registered to vote. However, it’s illegal to hand out money in trade for voter registration, which could pose a serious problem for Elon Musk.

Many people, including the Philadelphia District Attorney and the DOJ, believe Musk may have broken the law, which could land him a five-year prison sentence.
The trial of actor Gérard Depardieu, accused of sexual assault and originally scheduled to open on October 28, has been postponed to spring 2025 by a judge.
Actor Gérard Depardieu will not appear in a French court for his trial on sexual assault charges https://t.co/DMOdEcPdm3
The court reportedly granted a six-month delay, requested by the actor’s lawyer, due to serious health problems that would prevent him from attending his trial and sitting for more than six hours a day.

His lawyer said Depardieu suffers from heart problems and complications related to diabetes.
The lawyer for one of the two alleged victims has demanded that medical and psychiatric examinations be carried out on the actor to determine whether he is really fit to stand trial.
The 75-year-old actor is accused of sexually assaulting two women, allegedly on the set of the film Les Volets Verts in 2021.
Many people gathered in France to protest against sexual violence, on what was to be the first day of the actor’s trial.

The accusations against Gérard Depardieu have rekindled the #MeToo movement in the country.
Depardieu’s trial will open on March 24 and 25, 2025.
According to a CNN investigation, millions of dollars have been raised from seniors through campaign fundraising using texting and email, primarily by the Republican-affiliated super PAC WinRed, as well as the Democratic-affiliated ActBlue.
A CNN investigation reveals how deceptive political fundraisers have misled hundreds of elderly Americans into giving away millions of dollars https://t.co/Xf1HUN5fmM
Hundreds of seniors, many with dementia, seem to have fallen victim to scams, losing several thousand dollars to campaign fundraisers, mainly run by Republicans, but also by Democrats.
Getty Images
According to CNN, when they donate to the party of their choice, seniors then receive a stream of text messages and emails from candidates and political organizations asking for immediate help.
These messages seem particularly personalized, especially those from Republicans, giving the impression that Donald Trump, Don Jr, and some Republican candidates are directly soliciting financial support from these often elderly donors with little awareness of the situation they find themselves in, according to relatives of the victims.
Getty Images
By clicking on a link with a pre-checked box for direct debits, and providing their bank details, this donation system, which can be weekly or monthly, often completely depletes the savings of the elderly without them being aware of it.
CNN reports that the problem is so severe that these very vulnerable people have unknowingly donated sums often in the thousands of dollars, placing them among the largest grassroots donors in the country and primarily fueling Republican political campaigns.
In one example given by CNN, a donor with multiple involuntary withdrawals reportedly made over 2,000 donations of $50, totaling over $100,000, in just a few months.
These fundraising methods are mainly used by the WinRed group, which finances Republicans. However, similar cases have been reported with ActBlue, which also operates in the Democratic camp, albeit with fewer elderly victims.
Getty Images
WinRed recorded 803 complaints, almost seven times as many as the 120 complaints received by ActBlue.
