Avicii splashing out $350k on termite infestation

Avicii is forking out $350,000 in an attempt to rid his $15.5 million Hollywood Hills home of termites and also fix some water damage in the plush property.

Avicii is splashing out $350,000 to deal with a termite infestation in his $15.5 million Hollywood Hills mansion.

The 25-year-old DJ has forked out the huge sum after several hundred thousand insects caused some serious damage to his plush pad, and he also requires new roofing, walls and decking in his pricey property due to water damage.

Sources told gossip website TMZ that the ‘Wake Me Up’ hitmaker has also paid for some renovation work on his garage to convert the building into a living space enabling him and his guests to enjoy some picturesque views of Hollywood.

However, Avicii’s builders have reportedly not proved too popular with Robin Thicke, who lives in the same neighborhood, as the singer is said to have been complaining about the additional traffic jams caused by the construction workers’ vehicles.

The Swedish DJ – whose real name is Tim Bergling – splashed out on the five-bedroom abode last year and the home is the ideal place for the star to relax as it contains a water feature which runs the length of the house and ends in an infinity pool and a home theater.

The house also features a security system which uses fingerprint technology, has seven bathrooms and boasts breathtaking views of California.

The abode is situated in a swanky area of Hollywood Hills known as the Birds district because there are several streets named after the feathered creatures.
