Avril Lavigne Apologizes

Avril Lavigne apologized to her fans after she was forced to cancel a few concerts.

According to People, just a few days after cancelling concerts in San Diego and Phoenix because of laryngitis, Lavigne announced she would be cancelling six more shows.

On Saturday (May 3) the star stated, "My sincerest apologies to all of my fans. My intention was to complete the rest of the tour, but tonight at sound check in Anaheim I realized this wasn’t possible."

The 23-year-old singer added that she was taking care of her voice, but that was not enough. "When I tried to sing, nothing came out,” said Lavigne.

The concerts scheduled in Anaheim, Universal City, Santa Barbara and San Jose, California, as well as Spokane and Everett, Washington, were cancelled.  Refunds will be given for the tickets.
