According to FemaleFirst, the pop-punk singer Avril Lavigne, refused to sing certain songs after drinking. The Canadian star admitted that many songs off her last album, The Best Damn Thing were recorded when she was under the influence. She insists that she only drinks when she needs to rock.
In an interview for a magazine with the Candian singer Nelly Furtado, Lavigne claimed, "I wouldn’t sing a nice song, a mid-tempo or a ballad drunk, because it just would not be good."
Lavigne assured her fans that she does not do a concert under the influence, because after all, she cannot perform as well when she has been drinking. She added, "I don’t like to drink when I go onstage live, because I suck. I forget words."
