Singer Avril Lavigne’s new boyfriend saved her from drowning. Teen Music reports Brody Jenner rushed to save her life during a surfing lesson.
Lavigne has been dating The Hills reality television star since February. She was taking a private surfing lesson in Malibu, California when a wave knocked her off the surfboard.
The singer was in good hands, though. Brody Jenner came to her rescue and helped her get out of the water. She got her breath back on shore and recovered from the shock.
A source said, "A big wave flipped her into the water upside down. Brody swam over and dragged Avril to shore, but she’d had the wind knocked out of her – she’d swallowed a bunch of water and was coughing. When Avril realised what happened, she was so thankful Brody was there to save her."
The Canadian singer got divorced from singer Deryck Whibley last October. She and Jenner got matching tattoos recently in Las Vegas.
