According to Billboard, the singer is getting ready to show us a new, softer side with her forthcoming album. The Canadian star has taken things more seriously for her fourth studio album due out in November.
"A lot of the songs are mainly the acoustic and my vocal," said Lavigne. "It’s a lot different from anything I’ve done before. It’s not a pop rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling."
The singer and her husband, Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, wrote eight out of the twelve songs on the disc. Evan Taubenfield and Butch Walker worked on the rest.
"I’m kind of just keeping it in the family with all of my close friends," revealed the star. "I started this record off really slow, just writing songs at home on my piano. I didn’t work with a ton of people this time," she added.
