According to Music-News, the singer, who recently announced the end of her marriage to Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, spent a month partying on a yacht with Brandon Davis in the south of France.
Inside sources confirmed that Lavigne and Davis have become very close. "She wasn’t acting like a married woman at all," said a witness.
However, other sources close to the star insist that Davis isn’t the reason for the end of Lavigne’s marriage. Still, last December, Whibley asked Davis to stay away from his wife after learning that they had dinner together.
Lavigne and Whibley have been married for three years.
