Away game: Blue Jackets players arrive dressed “like Johnny Gaudreau”

Since the sad passing of the Gaudreau brothers last summer, the hockey world has made sure to honor the memory of the two men as best as possible. The family has touched a ton of people in the community, and we don’t want to forget the two men.
Even recently, at the 4 Nations Confrontation, the fans chanted “Johnny Hockey” at the end of the game during the final. It was a beautiful moment.
But of course, in Columbus, they’re making a special effort in that regard. Johnny Gaudreau played with the Blue Jackets, after all (he had decided to sign there as a free agent), and he was extremely loved in Ohio.
The club even invited his mom on the team’s mothers’ trip this week.
And today, as the Blue Jackets face the Red Wings in an away game, the team had an excellent idea: the guys decided to all dress up “like Johnny Gaudreau”.
And with the Gaudreau family leading the players’ entrance into the stadium, it makes for some really nice images.
As for the players, Boone Jenner told @drosennhl their attire is the “signature Johnny fit.” https://t.co/yAyTYR7fQK

The players are all dressed the same way, and instead of just wearing Gaudreau’s jersey, the guys decided to dress like Gaudreau usually dresses in everyday life.
Boone Jenner, the team captain, notes that they were dressed with “Johnny’s signature outfit”. I like it.
Let’s remember that the game between the Jackets and the Wings will start at 6 pm tonight at Ohio Stadium, the football stadium of Ohio State University (or Ohio State). We’re talking about a stadium that can accommodate… over 100,000 fans.
This will be something.
That being said, seeing Johnny Gaudreau and his family being honored in this way during an away game, it shows once again how well the Blue Jackets (and the rest of the league) do things.
Hats off.

– The Lightning is on fire.
Lightning win their 8th in a row having outscored their opponents 34-13 over that stretch. they are also 9-0-1 in their last 10. Look out, they back. Vasy is definitely back. #GoBolts
