According to various American sources, Spears went back into the studio on Wednesday to record after spending a long weekend with her new boyfriend, Isaac Cohen.
The Toxic singer was spotted dining with friends during a break from recording at the restaurant Mary. Spears, 25, then returned to Record Plant studio.
A witness said, "She was rehearsing material, working hard and having fun all at the same time."
Spears herself wrote on her website,
"I would like to exclusively tell you that I am working hard to release the new album sometime later this year, but the date is of course not certain yet."
Larry Rudolph, the singer’s manager, feels that the new record should be ready to be released in the summer or fall.
