Bad News for David Beckham

David Beckham went to England immediately after learning that his father, Ted Beckham had had a cardiac arrest.

The soccer player, who now plays for Los Angeles dropped everything to be by his fathers bedside.

Beckham’s rep announced, "His father has had a heart attack and is currently being treated in [the] hospital. David is flying back to be with him. He is obviously incredibly concerned and wants to be with him." 

Beckham’s father, 59, had pains in his chest Wednesday evening, and needed to be operated on to clear his arteries.  A hospital spokesperson stated that Ted Beckham was stable, but still in intensive care.

David Beckham’s wife, Victoria was in Japan for work, but also got on a plane for England when she learned the news.
