According to the website Femalefirst, Streisand, 64, gave the money to a school in Minnesota that specializes in the arts.
The singer and actress is supporting the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Arts. Sony has also donated $10,000 for the school to purchase audio/visual equipment.
Terry Tofte, the director of the school, explained that much of the recording and studio equipment has been provided by the generous donations.
