Baume & Mercier pays tribute to the Hamptons

Genevan timepiece designer unveils new collection of watches inspired by the Hamptons.

Located on Long Island, the Hamptons’ sandy beaches overlooking the Atlantic Ocean have long been the favorite weekend destination for upscale New Yorkers, and now, the house of Swiss watchmakers Baume & Mercier will pay tribute to this popular retreat, reports Vogue.

The Genevan house of Baume & Mercier, originally founded in 1830, sought to capture the luxurious look and feel of a classic-style beach home for their Hampton collection, and have summoned a traditional and relaxed retro look for the new timepieces.

The automatic, Swiss-movement watches comprise white, lavender, sand and teal-grey alligator straps for women, with rectangular faces adorned with diamonds and sapphires.

Men’s models also have alligator straps in a variety of colors, and boast faces decorated with Roman or Arabic numerals on silver, black and anthracite, or copper-colored faces.

A short film promoting the Hamptons-inspired, luxury watches is online now at the official Baume & Mercier website.
