Beatles Fans Have to Keep Waiting
During a press conference in London yesterday (November 24), Paul McCartney confirmed that talks between EMI and Apple Records have halted.
The 66-year-old singer explained, “When it’s something as big as the Beatles, it’s heavy negotiations. We’re [the band members and their estates] very for it, but there are a couple of sticking points. It’s stalled. No change there then!”
McCartney didn’t elaborate on the points of disagreement between the two sides, but Rolling Stone believes that it could be iTunes’ pricing structure that creates a problem for Apple Records.
Last March, it seemed that a deal was nearly reached between the two companies.
