Beauty and the Beast Goes 3-D

Beauty and the Beast, the film, will be converted into 3-D version for 2010.

Disney has announced that the film, Beauty and the Beast, will be remastered into 3-D version for 2010. It will be the eleventh Disney film to be made into 3-D between 2009 and 2010.

Producer Don Hahn and directors Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale, who were behind the 1991 version, will be using the original computer files to create the new digital version.

Disney will release several films on 3-D in 2009, including Jonas Brothers 3-D Concert Movie on February 27, Up on May 29, and G-Force on July 24. Also to come are Toy Story on October 2 and A Christmas Carol on November 6, starring Jim Carrey in several roles.

For 2010, the 3-D version of Toy Story 2 will be release and Toy Story 3 will be underway. We will also see Alice in Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp, Rapunzel and Step Up 3.
