Paramount Pictures hired Ben Kingsley in the suspense movie directed by Martin Scorcese, Shutter Island. It is the first collaboration between the Oscar holder and the famous director.
The 63-year-old actor will be playing opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo who already confirmed that they will take the roles. DiCaprio and Ruffalo will play officers that are investigating the disappearance of a patient in a psychiatric hospital. Kingsley will play the director of the establishment.
The movie is an adaptation of a novel by Dennis Lehane. The screenplay will be done by Laeta Kalogridis. Kingsley is presently shooting The Love Guru, alongside Mike Myers, Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake.
