Ben Stiller and director Noah Baumbach teamed up for the movie Greenberg, which hit theatres this spring. And now Stiller has just signed up to co-star with James Franco in Baumbach’s next film, While We’re Young, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Casting considerations for actresses include Greta Gerwig and Cate Blanchett, who are reportedly checking their schedules. The story revolves around the influence a young free-spirited couple (Franco and perhaps Gerwig) has on an older uptight documentatarian (Stiller) and his wife (Blanchett) – and the resulting comedic consequences.
Stiller is currently filming Tower Heist co-written by Baumbach, and the film is due in theaters next November. Meanwhile, he co-stars with actor Robert De Niro on December 22 in Little Fockers
James Franco’s gruelling survival tale, 127 Hours, is currently in theatres, and next April he co-stars with Natalie Portman in Your Highness.
