With the holidays rapidly approaching, Oyster.com has compiled a top-ten list of U.S. hotels that go all out for the season with a combination of high-end accommodations, beautiful decorations and a great location.
Topping the list is the world-famous New York Palace in Manhattan, which combines some of New York’s best holiday decorations with a choice locale that’s close to Fifth Avenue’s shopping and entertainment. Other Manhattan hotels, including The Plaza, The Waldorf Astoria, and the Gramercy Park Hotel also filled out the list.
The Bellagio, one of Las Vegas’s most notable hotels, came in second for its massive Christmas decorations – giant Christmas trees, polar bears, reindeer, snowmen, tin soldiers and rocking horses tower over the indoor garden – as well as the on-site luxury shopping malls: the 42,000-square foot Via Bellagio and the smaller Via Fiore.
Where the Bellagio goes big, third place winner, The Jefferson in Washington D.C., goes small and intimate with plenty of colonial charm. Located in the city’s old downtown, it’s within walking distance of the National Christmas Tree and Capitol Christmas Tree, as well as the holiday windows along Dupont Circle.
Also included on the list were the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, Fifteen Beacon in Boston, The Peninsula Beverly Hills in Los Angeles and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Orlando.
