Beyoncé joins Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign

Singer reworks previous hit into new anti-obesity song called Move Your Body.

R&B singer Beyoncé has joined Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign against childhood obesity, with a child-friendly version of her 2006 hit, Get Me Bodied, retitled Move Your Body, reports Teen Music.

Move Your Body drives along to the same catchy beat and tune as the original, but has reworked lyrics encouraging children to get active.

The 29-year-old singer is currently working on an accompanying music video featuring calorie-burning dance moves for children of all ages. While the official video has not yet been released, a recording of the choreography has leaked online through YouTube.

"I’m very, very honored to be a part of the [National Association of Broadcasters] and our First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move initiative," said Beyoncé. "It’s all about promoting the benefits of healthy eating and exercise. But what we want to do is make it fun by doing something that we all love to do — and that’s dance."

"So I hope you guys are ready. Let’s make healthier choices and let’s move," encourages the singer.
