Beyoncé Offers Her Services

Thrilled with the result of the American presidential election, Beyoncé has offered to sing at the inauguration of president-elect, Barack Obama.

Although she is very busy promoting her new album, I Am…Sasha Fierce, Knowles intends on being there when Barack Obama, the first black leader of the United States, enters the White House.

"I can’t wait. I feel like all of us, we’re ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I’m there, and I’m ready. I’ve never been so patriotic! I’m just beyond excited," said the 27-year-old star.

Knowles added that Obama’s victory gives hope to people of colour.  She explained, "My nephew, who is 4, when we say, ‘You can do whatever, you can be whatever,’ it’s not cliché," she said. "You have no doubt that it’s not true."
