Beyonce teams up with Prince Charles

Beyonce has teamed up with Britain’s Prince Charles in a bid to raise money for charity at her concerts.

The ‘Drunk in Love’ singer is encouraging her fans to make £3 donations to The Prince’s Trust as part of her global campaign #BeyGood, encouraging people to be kind to their community.

Beyonce, who is already an ambassador for the charity, said: ”As a young child I was blessed to have the support of my family who encouraged me to reach for my goals.

”So many young people don’t have this. I am honored to partner the #BeyGood campaign with The Prince’s Trust to help young people beat the odds and create better lives for themselves.”

Concert-goers will be given the opportunity to have their seats upgraded to VIP during her ‘Mrs Carter Show’ dates if they help to raise money for the youth charity.

Chief executive of The Prince’s Trust, Martina Milburn, said: ”Beyonce understands that, every day in the UK, young people are facing not only unemployment but also the devastating effects of homelessness, addiction, poverty, bullying and poor mental health.

”All of these hardships can leave them feeling that life isn’t worth living. It is up to us to help them get their lives back on track and the funds raised through the #BeyGood campaign will help us to do that.”

Prince Charles met the 32-year-old superstar in 2003 at an event in London’s Hyde Park and he revealed his son, Prince William, had a crush on her, while his other son, Prince Harry, is also a fan of her music.
