Beyonce’s Pulse

Pop diva to launch perfume number three and album 4.

On the brink of releasing her latest album 4, pop diva Beyoncé, 29, has unveiled perfume number three, Pulse, coming out this autumn, reports People.

“Women always tell me that my music makes them feel strong and confident, and ‘Pulse’ is about finding that inner power,” said the Grammy-winning singer in an interview with Elle.

Created in partnership with Coty, the citrus-floral fragrance features the singer’s favorite flower, the orchid. The composition is meant to reflect the energy and excitement that she feels as takes the stage to perform one of her many hits.

“Performing at the Billboard Music Awards and on the Oprah farewell show made me so nervous!” she confided to Elle. “My heart was pounding out of my chest. But it’s amazing how that nervousness never goes away – it’s my natural response to something exciting and fresh and inspiring.”

The scent opens with top notes of pear blossom, frozen bergamot and Blue Curacao liqueur. The heart features Bluebird orchid, used for the first time in a fragrance. There are also notes of peony and jasmine. The base is warm and sensual with Madagascar vanilla, musk and precious woods. The nose behind the fragrance is Bruno Jovanovic, reports Fragrantica.

Pulse follows the hugely successful launch of her debut fragrance Heat last February, which drew a little heat of its own thanks to a steamy ad that was banned on U.K. daytime TV. The singer launched a follow-up fragrance called Heat Rush, and the September launch of Pulse will make perfume number three for the busy star.
