The economic crisis has stricken yet another victim. Clothing brand Bill Blass is reportedly closing its doors on January 1 according to Vogue.com, at least until the company finds a buyer. The company has been up for sale since July.
NexCen Brands Inc. is currently in talks with potential buyers, but the Bill Blass brand is not the most stable in the industry at the moment.
Despite the mark’s strong, renowned presence in the fashion world, Bill Blass has experienced a difficult year. In October, designer for the women’s line, Peter Som, left due to creative differences.
