According to TMZ, Thornton’s eldest daughter was arrested in Florida and charged with negligence, leading to the death of a one-year-old child.
The sad event occurred in October, when 29-year-old Amanda Brumfield was watching the young girl. She fell and suffered a head injury, said Lee Stevens, a Florida police officer.
Brumfield only called the police two hours after the fall, and paramedics were unable to resuscitate the young girl, whose autopsy revealed that she had suffered a fractured skull.
Arnold Robinson, Thornton’s spokesman, announced the news and said that the 53-year-old actor is in very close contact with his eldest daughter.
