Yesterday (October 21), will.i.am, member of pop group the Black Eyed Peas, announced the group’s newest single is called The Time (The Dirty Bit).
The song samples Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack according to will.i.am’s Tweet.
The new album titled The Beginning which “symbolizes growth, new beginnings and starts a fresh new perspective,” is due for release on November 30, 2010.
He also admitted that he and his bandmates filmed the video for this song last week in Los Angeles before leaving for a tour of South America.
Based on the huge success of their previous album, The END, which went to the top of the charts, fans are eagerly anticipating the group’s latest musical offering.
Recently, will.i.am had mentioned that Michael Jackson songs were his inspiration and standard of excellence in terms of whether their songs had that special something.
