The New Jersey foursome still considers Madison Square Garden as the landmark of their career. The place symbolizes a place in history for Bon Jovi, who realized that they made it when they first played Madison Square Garden.

Although the band gave several shows at the venue during their long, fruitful career, a 2008 concert recording filmed at the music Mecca will soon be released on DVD.

Entitled Live From Madison Square Garden, the DVD covers the band’s biggest hits, as well as Bon Jovi’s rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, a version which Cohen himself deems as his personal favourite.

The DVD was filmed during their Lost Highway tour in 2008, and was shot with 23 high-definition cameras by director Anthony M. Bongiovi.

The Blu-Ray DVD, which will feature a documentary on the band called When We Were Beautiful that hit the shelves last week, is included with the limited edition version of Bon Jovi’s latest disc, The Circle.
